Index and Description of Dynamic Learning Maps Self-Directed Learning Modules. To help educators understand the Common Core State Standards and their application to students with significant cognitive disabilities, the Dynamic Learning Maps™ consortium has created and will continue to create self-directed learning modules. Each of the interactive modules is short (30-45 minutes on average) and focuses on a single topic. The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) launched the first "Read Captions Across America" campaign in 2006 as a part of the National Education Association's (NEA) annual "Read Across America" initiative. This event is the nation's largest reading celebration, focusing our attention on motivating children to read in addition to their mastering basic skills. Bill Stark explains what captions are, how they act as an instant reading incentive, and what reading benefits can occur from the use of captioning. The DCMP's support to teachers, librarians, and others in making the activity a success is also overviewed.

It includes general overview of SW-PBS including classroom and individual support system, application of continuum of instructional and PBS, and RTI model approaches. The presentation describes all levels of SWPBS implementation strategies and RtI logic application for student success (for academic and behavior).
