Another good online resource. This one is free and while it is British Based it covers most year levels; Early Years, Key Stage 1 (yr1-2), Key Stage 2 (yr3-6). I have used a few of the early years resources and found the very useful.
Hi
I accidently stumbled across Educreators (similiar to Edublogs on a goggle search late at night). It is amazing I even watched a lesson about fractions. It is resources like these which makes me determine to provide my students with fun and engaging lessons - just which this type of teaching was around when I was in primary school.

A great site for Early Childhood interactive games over a wide range of curriculum domains. Yes it does cost but have a go at the free trial and see what you think.
This Blog is about the use of digital cameras in early childhood settings. It was a part of Week 2's work but I wanted to book mark it here because I thought it might be useful for assignment part 1.
Hi Kate
I also found this site very informative and used this in my blog. I love photos and I strongly believe that digital cameras play an important role in early childhood settings and advocate the importantance of allowing children to explore their world through using digital camera. Working in 3-5 room I have seen many positive expereinces, including behaviour management, as children use digital camera. Sadly the new qualified teacher the centre has employed views camera for "teachers' only (not even assistants can use them) and only one photo per month per child and no viewing them on the television.

Its great to hear people say that we need to work together. I remember years ago a friend of mine (who was a Grade 6 teacher) told me of her frustration when she would encourage her students and they were alive with excitement to learn and explore and the work they handed in was exceptional from her point of view. However, six months into the next year she would be so disappointed because the grades of the Year 7 students would be declining and their attitude was one of apathy. What she wanted to do was to work with the Year 7 teacher so with a combined effort they could assist the students to continue their positive attitude throughout their time at upper primary school. The Year 7 teacher felt threatened and the sad cycle continued. When I read http://www.independent.co.uk/news/education/education-news/blog-early-blog-often-the-secret-to-making-boys-write-properly-2211232.html as well as http://www.letthechildrenplay.net I was thrilled to hear what great progress is being made by teachers/schools when they collaborate. Thanks for the info.
I love this website. Great ideas and very useful also. I hope you dont mind if I share this.
Thanks. Great idea for young children to get introduced to ways you can use a digital camera. Simple things like croping, editing etc.
More for actual teachers as need to sign up, but you can have a free trial. Teachers at my work use this a lot for letter recognition and literacy practice. Something to keep for future - great for early childhood and special ed.
This site is Australian and really switched on. It has a newsletter that keeps teachers current with latest education info, has resources that are fantastic (like cool Bloom's stickers, teacher diary and so on). I've been subscribed to them for years and have benefitted so sharing my toolbelt.
I used resources on this website for my WebQuest. They have audio instructions which is great for early childhood and special ed. Very educational, interactive and engaging.
The following are two youtube clips I used during my Professional Experience for a Prep class to taech then their daysof the Week. Found it very effective. Kids enjoyed it loved joinging in not just singing but dancing as well.
Hope they are useful for you to!

This is a great website that I found, it is primarily set up for Pre-Service Teachers to help them build their ICTE (Information, Communication and Technology in Education) capabilities. It even has little packages that you can log into the site with your Scootle account and look at practical hints and tips on integrating ICTs into your lessons in English, History, Maths and Science. Easy to use and quite informative. Has a lot of information about TPACK too :) the packages come in three areas, early childhood, upper primary/lower secondary and years 9/10. There is even reflective video clips from Pre-Service Teachers that have used these packages.
