Interactive whiteboard games allow the whole class to engage in a learning activity at the same time. Cooperation and collaboration between the students and the teacher is used to explore problem sole, share ideas and achieve answers. Children have the right to enhance their learning by utilising ICT, therefore ICT should be offered to children in early childhood. Bonny (2013) has written an article on the importance of ICT in early childhood settings and how it can benefit young children's learning and development development.

After completing week ten activities, I recogised some important points to focus on for 'Part B' of our third assignment. Teachers who integrate ICT aiming to enhance student learning need to utilise their preparation and planning carefully. This process requires knowledge to ensure high quality teaching standards are being implemented.

Well I must say that there has been a lot of reading for week nine activities! Even though there was a lot to read, I felt that I have gained a better understanding of what I need to do for prac and what may be expected from me.

After blogging each week and linking resources, I wondered if their were any resources online especially created to assist teachers or preservice teachers based on the Australian curriculum. Amazingly, I googled 'Australian curriculum resources' and found this amazing website that includes books that are created for different subjects and based on the Australian curriculum.

For my professional development I am attending a little rural school with a total of 29 students. I rang the school and booked an appointment to meet the principal, the teacher (my mentor) and the students that I would be interacting with.

This week I attended a school and observed the children using digital technologies 'maths and science online games' to enhance their learning. It was obvious that their were some children who new how to log in and other that needed assistance.

Amazing! During a year 1 class today, I was amazed to see that the children had time for 'free choice learning'. After a spellling activity, the children used their words to continue practiceing by choosing activitiy of their choice.

The first step is to recognise and reflect on what the students need to learn over the entire year. To do this teacher's must refer to two very important documents the curriculum that is relevant to their context and the QSA document.
