Contains thousands of documents from the Nuremberg Trials. Search function is excellent, too. Very organised. I like organised.

The Harvard Law School Library has approximately one million pages of documents relating to the trial of military and political leaders of Nazi Germany before the International Military Tribunal (IMT) and to the twelve trials of other accused war criminals before the United States Nuremberg Military Tribunals (NMT). The documents, which include trial transcripts, briefs, document books, evidence files, and other papers, have been studied by lawyers, scholars, and other researchers in the areas of history, ethics, genocide, and war crimes, and are of particular interest to officials and students of current international tribunals involving war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The Library's collection of more than 500 broadsides is one of the largest recorded and the first to be digitized in its entirety. The examples digitized here span the years 1707 to 1891 and include accounts of executions for such crimes as arson, assault, counterfeiting, horse stealing, murder, rape, robbery, and treason. Many of the broadsides vividly describe the results of sentences handed down at London's central criminal court, the Old Bailey, the proceedings of which are now available online at http://www.oldbaileyonline.org.

An excellent collection of sources on all things World War II. Focusses on: life at the fronts; the holocaust; Japanese war crimes ("War crimes, what war crimes?"); photos & posters; and the nuclear bombing. With primary sources and well-organised.

A primary source document for my Japan research

No information on how much is there, but going on the quality of the other source sites provided by Harvard Libraries it should be quite extensive.

The Joseph Berry Keenan Digital Collection-comprised of manuscript materials and photographs-offers researchers invaluable insight into the Japanese War Crimes Trial -- one of the most important trials of the twentieth century.

They say this was one of the major differences between the British and French handling of withdrawal from empire - not only criminal records, but historical and legal documents of many kinds.

You can search as well as browse the collection and seems to go back earlier than the 20th century.

José Anselmo dos Santos, ou Daniel, ou Jadiel, ou Jônatas… ou mais simplesmente Cabo Anselmo, se apresentou no Roda Viva na última segunda-feira. Como já se esperava, ele esteve muito à vontade, porque os entrevistadores não pesquisaram a história dos seus crimes, e se fizeram esse indispensável dever, não quiseram levá-lo às cordas, para confrontar as suas esquivas com os depoimentos de testemunhas de 1973, ano das execuções de 6 militantes socialistas no Recife.

Isso acontece em todos os restaurantes. É a regra, não é a exceção. Ah, mas o lanche é tão gostoso, não é mesmo. Querem testemunhas? Perguntem aos milhares de ex-funcionários, como eu, que perderam anos preciosos de sua vida para dar lucro a uma empresa que tem coragem de pagar menos que um salário-mínimo. Envergonho-me de morar num país que somente agora percebe o trabalho escravo oficial e generalizado dentro de uma das empresas multinacionais mais conhecidas do mundo. The essay contest for 2009-10 is not up yet, but the topic is the effectiveness of nonviolent civic action. My students participated last year when the topic was crimes against humanity and it lead to really great discussions.

This is a record of the proceedings of the Old Bailey in London from the 17th to the early 20th centuries. Very useful for a study of poverty and crime in Britain during the Empire or even the convicts that every single Australian believes they are descended from.

A chronicle of the ill-fated concert at Altamont, which was held only four months after Woodstock, and went as wrong as Woodstock went right. One writer calls Altamont " a condensed version of the preceding decade, with queasy race relations, well-intentioned non-conformism turned reckless and a bid for peaceful, harmonious co-existence-among the most valued ideals of the '60s-shattered by senseless violence."
