How this influenced my thinking: It has enlightened me to the benefits of co-sleeping. As ignorant as this may sound before this class I always thought people co slept with their child cause they we too cheap to buy them a crib and quite frankly I looked down upon them. But now I understand some of the benefits a child gains through co-sleeping.

How This Influenced My Thinking: The last part of this talk discusses the "Hunger Winter" study and how prenatal exposure to famine effected health in adult life, and how 9/11 fetuses of mother who experienced the trauma, had babies with greater susceptibility to PTSD.

How This Influenced My Thinking: there was a lot of interesting and pertinent information shared within this video. The shared experiences of a mother are vast. A fetus learns from a mother's voice, food preferences, language and culture to environmental events such as famine, war, fear and stress.

How This Influenced My Thinking: This video presented a bit more information and examples which helped me understand the theory as well as Bronfenbrenner's strong interests in social environment and cultural impact.
Credibility of Source: This video seems very credible with a lot of the information aligning with the information we read and was given to us in class.

Why Relevent: This book in chapter 14 applied multiple theories including bronfenbrenner's to the adolescent stage. It gives a great description of the theory and applies it to an adolescence network of friends and peers, it even takes into account cultural differences.
How This Influenced My Thinking- It provides great examples of each system and goes in depth. It gives insight in the fact that each system not only infuences the individual but the individual infuences the system as well.
Credibility: High.seeing as it is the sixth edition of this book being edited and redone multiple times.

It is a very rare occurrence and it mostly happen if IVF is involved; in this particular case was all natural. The pregnancy and delivery had no complications and the 4 baby boys were delivered at 31 weeks via c-section.
How has this influenced my thinking: This was a good happy story that it doesn't happen very often.

How This Influenced My Thinking: Breastfeeding long term is biologically normal, but not socially normal. The more we see the benefits and see mothers continuing to breastfeed, the more socially normal it will become. I am proud to call Jamie Grumet a friend of mine. She works hard to normalize breastfeeding and attachment parenting, without trying to start a parenting war.
