After witnessing a lot new characters in Star Plus’ numero uno Diya Aur Baati Hum, soon it will see two well-known actors, Preeti Chaudhary, show impressed one and all as the lead in Colors’ Kairi and actress Maninee Mishra, who was last seen in Colors' Madhubala.Earlier, it was also reported that actors like Neil Bhatt, Alan Kapoor and Minal Mogan will enter the show as cadets who will be on the same mission of becoming IPS officers like Sandhya aka Deepika Singh.Now with the show proceeding towards the IPS track where Sandhya will start her training, the makers are not leaving any stone unturned to make the new track engaging. Ltd, is happy about getting back to the makers. She averred, “It’s always nice to get back to Shashi Mam and Sumeet Sir’s show. I feel lucky to have got a second chance to work with them.”Talking about the character, Preeti said she is playing a politician. “Yes, I play a politician who comes down to Pushkar, Rajasthan from Delhi. This is when she bumps into Sandhya (Deepika Singh) the aspiring IPS officer and the story progresses heron. This character has different shades to it and the viewers will enjoy watching it,” she said.She added, “I have a very different look. In fact at the moment we are working on my haircut. They are about to give a total makeover.”It would be interesting to see her in politician’s role?

Alba, 32 says that it wouldn’t have been possible for her to juggle with her film career, eco-friendly baby products line, new lifestyle book and also raising daughters Honor-five, and Haven, two, had not her hubby supported her."Cash is the best husband in the world. I would not have been able to keep my company going and do the book if I didn`t have him there for me and help with the children. He is always very considerate and understanding of who I am and my goals. We complement each other very well," said Alba.At the same time, the couple also manages to make some time for each other as they feel it is really necessary for a marriage to work. "We make sure we have enough time to be together where we can shut out the world. Young guns Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra starrer upcoming film Gunday is set to introduce the real life of Bengal. It would be for the first time when film industry’s popular banner Yash Raj Films is coming out with a new pasture, Bengal and its customs.Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra, it is scheduled to hit theatres on Valentine's Day on 14th of February 2014.  “Shot extensively in West Bengal, especially Kolkata, the film's backdrop essentially lends itself to releasing the film in Bengali. Besides, Gunday has another strong Bengali connect as Bappi da has given music and this is the first time that YRF and Bappi da have come together,” said a spokesperson.The coveted banner release Calcutta's most turbulent times of the 70's and this is at the soul of the film with the characters seeped in the culture of that time. The shooting of the film was done in Kolkata and some parts at Durgapur and Raniganj. According to sources, the film's story is based on the lives of two small time thieves who later get involved in the coal mafia. “The plans for releasing the film also in Bengali was finalised at the pre-production stage,” added sources.YRF plans to release the teaser poster and teaser trailer in Bengali this week.

It seems Life OK’s mythological show Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, which stars TV heartthrob Mohit Raina as Lord Shiva, has lost its charm. Earlier it was reported that the channel is not getting good TRPs from the show and now it is said that its actors are quitting the show.Puja Banerjee who portrays the role of Lord Parvati is said to have quit the show owning some health issues. Interestingly, Puja was featured in the show after replacing popular actress Sonarika Bhadoria. She played the character for four months only. But unlike Sonarika, who was shown the door citing some payment issues, the actress herself has decided to quit the show.According to the close sources of the actress it is get to know that Puja couldn’t manage to overcome from her health issues and dedicate her time to the show. “Puja has been complaining about health issues for some time. The schedule is physically exhausting for her. She conveyed the problem to the production house and they released her. Her notice period ends in January, next year. The channel tried its best to convince her, but in vain,” sources said.Now, the team of Devon Ke Dev Mahadev is looking for the replacement of Puja Banerjee. After the failure of his directorial debut Aryan, filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor made successful comeback in direction with the release of Rock On!, with which Farhan Akhtar also made his acting-singing debut. The film was produced by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani’s production company Excel Entertainment.

The film which is going to mark the collaboration of Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor, Badtameez Dil, was slated for September to kick start it’s shooting. However, the much anticipated project sees a delay in shooting and will go on floor next year.Apparently, KJo and Ekta’s loss has become Kunal Deshmukh’s gain, as now he can start shooting of his upcoming film Shaatir along with Emraan Hashmi, who is now free from his dates to Badtameez Dil.   “Emraan was gearing up to shoot for Badtameez Dil but due to certain circumstances; the film is not starting as planned in the end of September. This left Emraan free,” conformed sources.

It was 16th Anniversary celebration of Prime Focus that made a memorable occasion. Bollywood’s two legendry actors Amitabh Bachchan and Prem Chopra were seen sharing a delightful time with each other in the event. They had a hearty conversation as they shared a warm handshake and a laugh. Amitabh Bachchan looked handsome as he partook in the anniversary celebrations of Prime Focus. Prem Chopra appeared as lively as he looked in the 80s time at the event in his black-sherwanni style suit. They were sitting at the front row accompanied by veteran actor Rishi Kapoor. Amitabh, too, had a warm conversation with Rishi that was clearly seen on his face in the stills.Amitabh and Prem seem to have sharing their old days that they had spent during the shoot of film like Do Ajnaabi. Amitabh Bachchan wrote in his blog, “Prime Focus which started with four young entrepreneurs has now become an institute of perfection in post production and digital work for all the largest entertainment industries in the world. It was an over the moon moment when Saif Ali Khan, who is a huge fan of James Bond, heard that he will get to shoot at MI6 building, seen in several Bond films. The MI6 building, located along the river Thames, is the headquarters of the British Secret Intelligence Service. This location has been used only in Bond movies, but not for any Bollywood film. Filmmaker Sajid Khan was the one who manages to get permission to shoot at the building for his forthcoming film Humshakals, which apart from Saif Ali Khan also stars Bipasha Basu, Ram Kapoor, Tamannaah Bhatia, Esha Gupta and Riteish Deshmukh.“Sajid was keen to shoot one of the sequences there as he is fascinated by the building. When he told Saif about it, the actor who loves Bond (remember Agent Vinod), was excited,” revealed sources from the production team.While he enjoyed the shoot thoroughly, there was one hitch. Actor and anchor Karan Wahi is a busy man nowadays as he has been juggling with juggling between shooting for his upcoming film and hosting the reality show Nach Baliye 6. And recently he made a quick trip to Pink City for some work.Upon his arrival, he said, "I am here just for a day and I don't think I will be able to take out time to explore the city. I will probably have to find time later and come and explore Jaipur."Recalling his first trip to the city, he said, "I think I was in the sixth or the seventh standard when I first came to Jaipur. At that time, I had visited many forts and palaces, but the one place that I remember is Hawa Mahal. After that, for some reason, I haven't been able to make a trip to the city in which I could go around and explore various places. In between, I had come for a day to play a match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in the city." In his debut TV show Remix, Karan played a boy from Rajasthan, which was very much evident in his dialogues as well. "My first role was that of a Rajput boy. But at that time, I didn't have to do much research on that character. The channel and the production house had done the research and told me how to portray it. I was really new at that time and was more concerned about facing the camera and saying my dialogues," he recalled.We wish you luck with the upcoming endeavors!

Gori Tere Pyaar Mein actor Imran Khan says he has had the best time working in the movie, and it was one of the most entertaining work experiences that he has had till date. "For me this is the most fun film. What makes it special is the chemistry and interaction between me and Kareena Kapoor Khan. That is what makes the film stand up," said Imran."Kareena and I have good chemistry. I think we look good together. Part of the reason is because inherently we understand each other as actors," said Imran, who was in London with his leading lady Kareena. The film has been helmed by Punit Malhotra, and produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions.The actor said that the film has the target audience in younger couples and the family audience. "Karan likes his films to reach out across the audiences and he likes to make his films family friendly. You can watch it with your parents and parents can take their kids to watch it," he said.He also added that it was picturised in many locations. "The first half is primarily shot in Bangalore where the romance begins. The second half was shot outside Bhuj in Gujarat, then Wai outside Pune in Maharashtra and then in Filmcity. It was a difficult film to shoot. We were shooting outdoors in the peak of summer in May and June - it was over 45 degrees every single day."The film comes out on November 22!

B-town actress Shraddha Kapoor played a simple girl in her last release Aashiqui 2, and bagged loads of applaud for the same. And now she is experimenting with her looks yet again for Punit Malhotra’s directorial Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, where she plays lead character Imran Khan’s fiancé.Recently the makers released the first look of the actress, who is seen in typical South Indian look. She plays a small role in the Karan Johar’s production. Her new look from the movie was released by none other than film’s director Punit on his microblogging website Twitter. In the still, she is seen in a traditional South Indian sari with red and golden border matched with a red blouse. The name of her character is Vasudha, and she has completed the look with a bindi, traditional neck piece, earrings, mangtika and flower in her hair. "Here's presenting Vasudha...The very beautiful Shraddha Kapoor," Malhotra tweeted with the picture. In the picture, it is shown that she is getting engaged with male lead Imran Khan’s character Sriram, who also essays a South Indian boy named Sriram. Kareena Kapoor plays the leading lady, and she is seen working as a social worker in the movie, and will play Imran's love interest. Gori Tere Pyaar Mein releases on November 22.

What would you call a film which draws so many inspirations from other Hollywood and Bollywood Rom-Coms and still looks as a confused and paranoid film just like the female lead character from this film? Here comes a yet-another frustrated crappy version of many Hollywood-Bollywood films in the form of Huff It's Too Much.First of all, the film tells a story about a couple in their 25 years of age living in London. Please take a look at the lead actor Pushkar Jog. Do you really think he looks like a 25 years old? Especially with his eye-wrinkles and double chinned face which cannot be avoided in the film's poster itself? Some news papers and tabloid claimed "Famous Marathi actor Pushkar Jog debuts through this Film" in their respective headers  (PR generated stories, Of course). Famous Marathi actor? Really? If Pushkar Jog is considered as a Famous Actor, What would you call stars like Bharat Jaadhav, Subodh Bhave, Ankush Chowdhary etc?As far as debut is concerned, Pushkar Jog has already debuted in a very less remembered multi-cast flop film called E.M.I Liya Hai Toh Chukana Padega (2008). Back home in Marathi Cinema, He has done some B Grade films which sank without a trace. He produces his own films and his debut Marathi (Self-Produced) film 'Zabardast' was directed by ace director Mahesh Kothare. Some insiders also claimed about the actor having a well-dressed staff accompanying him and wearing "Pushkar Jog Staff" name batch. Marathi cinema's Kamaal R Khan? Oops! No offense to anyone. Sorry please.Huff It's Too Much is a romantic-comedy revolving around a creative director, his quirky best friend and a woman that he is confused about. The film is an all and out youth centric romantic-comedy set in London dealing with the tryst and tribulation of young 'Desis' staying abroad.Another plot about Indians who live abroad and confused about their lifestyles and livings. Such plot, if treated in a right format can do really wonders. But it looks as if the people behind the scenes were only interested in shooting the film rather concentrating on the storyline. The first half of the film is just tolerable. But it's the second half which tortures you to the core.As I speak about the performances, Pushkar Jog really doesn't know to act in a Hindi film, Despite starting his career as a child actor. Acting in a Marathi Film is different. The Body language, The Accent, The Style etc.But performing in a Hindi Film is another ball game. The Sarcasm comedy slang that he used in this one looks like a (Late) Laxmikant Berde Marathi style. Armeena Khan, yet-Another Pakistani Actress/Model debuts through this film. She is strictly okay. Yes, like every other Pakistani actress, She too has an Expression less face which somehow worked for this film. Why? Because the camera was mostly capturing the one and only Pushkar Jog. Rest of the actors were nothing to talk about.Music of the film is okay, But because of its less promotions, I don't think they will be remembered much. The Editing is bad. The camera work is good. Production values are nothing new to talk about because the film has been shot in London, And trust me, No one showed London as beautiful and erotic as (Late) Yash Chopra used to show.Why Pushkar Jog directed this film? Why this film was made in Hindi? Why does Pushkar Jog's smile reminds you of iconic Marathi director Mahesh Kothare? These are some of my questions which still remained unanswered.If you have a strong and a personal grudge with a person, Show him/her Huff It's Too Much at least once. Huff It's Too Much is a Pushkar Jog style Torture!

The actress says that she won’t act for the other 18 months, till the time her son Viaan doesn’t start understanding her work.The actress said, “I will take At least another year-and-a-half... till Viaan is able to communicate with me and understands my work. Then may be I will think of doing a film.”Shilpa is seen on the small screens now-a-days and is also seen doing many endorsements. The actress was last seen as the judge of the dance reality show Nach Baliye 5 and is gearing up to judge another season of the show.She said, “TV is easier, and for endorsements, I can command when I want to work. It's kind of suited to my current role - being a mother, the most wonderful role of my life. I am enjoying it.”She has taken a sabbatical from the industry as films take a lot of time, and she needs to give time to her son as well. She said, “Honestly, it is a self-imposed sabbatical. My priority definitely is Viaan at the moment. I haven't thought about films really, it's just too time consuming.”Talking about her production Dishkiyaaoon, the action thriller stars Harman Baweja and Sunny Deol in the lead roles.
