After witnessing a lot new characters in Star Plus’ numero uno Diya Aur Baati Hum, soon it will see two well-known actors, Preeti Chaudhary, show impressed one and all as the lead in Colors’ Kairi and actress Maninee Mishra, who was last seen in Colors' Madhubala.Earlier, it was also reported that actors like Neil Bhatt, Alan Kapoor and Minal Mogan will enter the show as cadets who will be on the same mission of becoming IPS officers like Sandhya aka Deepika Singh.Now with the show proceeding towards the IPS track where Sandhya will start her training, the makers are not leaving any stone unturned to make the new track engaging. Hence, popular actress Maninee and Preeti will enter the show for this particular track.Preeti Chaudhary, who has been a favourite of Shashi Sumeet Mittal Production Pvt. Ltd, is happy about getting back to the makers. She averred, “It’s always nice to get back to Shashi Mam and Sumeet Sir’s show. I feel lucky to have got a second chance to work with them.”Talking about the character, Preeti said she is playing a politician. “Yes, I play a politician who comes down to Pushkar, Rajasthan from Delhi. This is when she bumps into Sandhya (Deepika Singh) the aspiring IPS officer and the story progresses heron. This character has different shades to it and the viewers will enjoy watching it,” she said.She added, “I have a very different look. In fact at the moment we are working on my haircut. They are about to give a total makeover.”It would be interesting to see her in politician’s role?

Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu fame director Shakun Batra’s next would be based on the human relationships. His last film was made under Karan Johar’s production banner Dharma Productions, and this will also be produced under the same banner. Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu starred Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor.At present he is busy with the pre-production stage of the movie. Speaking to the sources, he said, "My next film deals with human relationships... it is a drama. I am yet to lock my script. I will show the draft to Karan and then we will take things ahead. By next month I will be able to give some details, including the star cast."You may know that with his debut directorial, he introduced the unusual pairing of Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor, which would be on-screen again with Gori Tere Pyaar mein, again produced by Karan, and directed by I Hate Luv Storys director Punit Malhotra. Recently Shakun saw the rushes of GTPM, and is all praises for it. "They both look amazing on screen. They have a sizzling chemistry. Actor Jimmy Shergil and director Tigmanshu Dhulia’s collaboration has been running ever since the latter debuted in Bollywood with Haasil. Be it Charas, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns or latest release Bullett Raja, Jimmy is one common thing in all the mentioned films.Released on November 28, Bullett Raja features Saif Ali Khan in the title role with his lady of affection being Sonakshi Sinha. Jimmy plays Saif’s partner in crime and has covered prominent part in the film. While Saif plays a character with an adventurous streak, Jimmy plays a much more headstrong guy.“The three of us have a lot of sequences together though, as you can see from the promos. The film's script is such that it brings us together. It would definitely have been a different space for Sonakshi to be working with Tigmanshu. However I could sense that Sonakshi was comfortable in what she was doing. As for Saif then well, he adapted to things so well from day one. He was bang on as the character. According to me, it is one of his finest performances. No one has ever seen Saif on these lines,” averred Jimmy.About the director, he added, “Tigmanshu was clear from the very beginning during the narration stage itself that bond between Saif and I had to be very prominent right through the film's narrative.
