Shoojit Sircar and Ronnie Lahiri’s new production, under their banner Rising Sun Films, Running Shaadi.com has just gone on the floors in Amritsar. Directed by first-timer Amit Roy, the film stars Amit Sadh and Taapsee Pannu in the lead and will be primarily shot in Punjab.Co-produced by Crouching Tiger Motion Pictures, Running Shaadi.com is a youth romantic comedy centered around this website which helps people elope and get married. Delving deep into the minds of India’s young, especially in the smaller towns, the film is intelligently entertaining with an array of endearing characters.Debutant Director Amit Roy has previously worked as a cinematographer for filmmakers like Ram Gopal Varma (Sarkar) and Rohan Sippy (Dum Maaro Dum). Running Shaadi.com will be his first venture as a Director. The film's leading man, Amit Sadh, who has been a rage on television, had a successful switch to the big screen earlier this year with Kai Po Che. He will romance Taapsee Pannu, who is already a big name down South and was the cynosure of all eyes in David Dhawan's remake of Chashme Baddoor recently.Having made two back-to-back hits like Vicky Donor and Madras Cafe, Shoojit is now supporting new directors to realise their dreams under his banner.“Amit Roy is a friend for many years so when he came to me with this script, I thought it was very interesting and a sweet love story which we decided to produce under our banner, Rising Sun Films. Post her traditional Indian style avatar, Pooja Gor, better known as Pratigya of Star Plus’ hit show Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya, says she is looking for an image makeover. She has also done reality show The Serial, just to widen up her horizons in the acting field.Speaking about her plans, “I want to try out different characters and sequences to test my own caliber and strength as an actor,” said Pooja, who also appeared on Imagine TV’s Kitani Mohabbaat Hai. She has been roped in to play lead character in Bindaas channel’s unusual love stories based youth show Yeh Hai Aashiqui, hosted by Vikrant Massey.Pooja will essay role of Charulata, a woman who tries to find happiness outside her marriage, in the episodic. The story is based on Rabindranath Tagore's novel, Nastanirh and Pooja will be seen as a traditional Bengali woman.About her character and show, Pooja said, “Honestly, I took up the episode in Yeh Hai Aashiqui because it has a complete Bengal flavour to it. I am fond of Bengali culture. I am glad the way it has turned out. I am very happy with the way I look.”The particular episode will air this week on Bindaas!

The field of acting is not at all easy and the actors have to learn and go through various sacrifices to master the art. Same is with actress Kangana Ranaut, who recently showcased her acting skills in Krrish 3, and bagged appreciations for the same.But you may not know that the actress has also been training in classical Indian dance for the past five years. And she is really happy that she could use her skills in upcoming film Rajjo, where she plays a nautch girl."I have been learning classical dance for a long time and it's just a coincidence that I got to do this film. I have been learning it for a reason that someday I will get to do kathak," said Kangana. While promoting her film recently, the actress said that she got to utilize the kathak skills for one particular song in Rajjo.Speaking of the same, she said that the art can't be learnt in a month. "I have been learning classical dance for a while now, for four to five years. A song in the climax is full of kathak that you can't learn it in a week or a month. You have to rehearse for it for a long time."The film is helmed by Vishwas Patil, Rajjo, and it is releasing on November 15. It features Kangana as the protagonist.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who has been a vital actress in the Bollywood industry has done various kinds of roles in her career and is currently settling for the role of a filmmaker, with her movie Dishkiyaaoon in line. The actress says that she won’t act for the other 18 months, till the time her son Viaan doesn’t start understanding her work.The actress said, “I will take At least another year-and-a-half... till Viaan is able to communicate with me and understands my work. Then may be I will think of doing a film.”Shilpa is seen on the small screens now-a-days and is also seen doing many endorsements. The actress was last seen as the judge of the dance reality show Nach Baliye 5 and is gearing up to judge another season of the show.She said, “TV is easier, and for endorsements, I can command when I want to work. It's kind of suited to my current role - being a mother, the most wonderful role of my life. I am enjoying it.”She has taken a sabbatical from the industry as films take a lot of time, and she needs to give time to her son as well. She said, “Honestly, it is a self-imposed sabbatical. My priority definitely is Viaan at the moment. I haven't thought about films really, it's just too time consuming.”Talking about her production Dishkiyaaoon, the action thriller stars Harman Baweja and Sunny Deol in the lead roles. Sudha Mishra (Maasiji) who is a 67 years old, divorced and grumpy woman with enormous energy and the ability to live in the present has just come back to her home in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. Many A-list actors such as Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn seem to prefer remakes of popular south films as they have proved to be successful in Bollywood too.Debutant director Anup Jagdale is all set to make his first debut Marathi feature film titled Bharla Malwat Rakhtaana. Insiders claimed the film to be an Official remake of Rekha starrer 1998 cult hit Khoon Bhari Maang which was about a wealthy widow who is almost killed by her lover and sets out for revenge. The film was a comeback venture for Rekha in that year and was a critical and commercial success. It was said when Rakesh Roshan started shooting this film, Many close friends warned him about the project being Risky as it had no commercial 'Hero-Angle' in the film. "My film is about a woman who is cheated and betrayed and she is almost killed only to bounce back for a Brutal Revenge rampage Marathi Cinema will ever see. I will not speak further about the film as i want the audience to enjoy my final product." said first timer Anup Jagdale. The casting of the film is also kept under-wraps, However it is confirmed that acclaimed Marathi actor Milind Shinde will enact the character of Shatrughan Sinha.The Trade and the Media is curious to know about the actress playing the role of Rekha. Few names such as Sai Tamhankar and Sonalee Kulkarni bumped in, but director Anup Jagdale remained lip-tight about the actress.The poster of the film also carries just the name of the film along with main credits. Even though Salman Khan has worked with renowned filmmakers liked Karan Johar  and Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Saawariya, respectively, but now the two of them have not worked with the actors since quite some time.And this fact came out on his television show Bigg Boss 7 when Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan came on the show to promote their upcoming film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, directed by Punit Malhotra.It started when Salman quizzed Kareena whether she is punctual on her film’s sets. The actress replied saying, ''Just like you, I also come late on the sets.'' This statement made Salman immediately comment, ''Because of actresses like you, a professional actor like me has a bad name in the industry. Everyone thinks I come late.'' He further added, ''That is the reason why directors like Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and all these people don't want to work with me. Not fair. You are spoiling my name, reputation.'' Hope KJo and SLB are paying attention to this. We wonder if they soon offer him their next directorial!
