With three super-star looking young actors, one of the catchy storyline and a team who did every good thing to change its fate, Student of The Year was released in the same month last year 2012. Director Karan Johar feels proud that all of his highlighted actors, including Alia Bhatt, Sana Seed, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra are doing extremely well in the industry.Karan tweeted, “SOTY completes a year today! I am really proud of my three students and the entire cast and crew of this young, fun and special film of my career,” Karan posted on Twitter on Saturday (October 19, 2013). Student Of The Year released on October 19, 2012.The film proved to be a good launch-pad for its three lead actors, who managed to pocket plum Bollywood projects post the film's release.  Alia, daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, will be seen in Imitiaz Ali's Highway and Abhishek Verman's 2 States. Thanking Karan, Alia tweeted, “SOTY completes one year and so do I.. one year since I've been in the industry! Thank you Karan Johar for giving us the perfect break.”Based on a school competition, the romantic-comedy revolves around the lives of three college students, played by mentioned actors. Son of filmmaker David Dhawan, Varun is working on his father's Main Tera Hero, while model-turned-actor Siddharth has just finished shooting Hasee Toh Phasee. He also has Ekta Kapoor's The Villain in his kitty.Kudos guys!

The cute and chirpy beauty Alia Bhatt made a name for herself in the Bollywood industry debuting here with Karan Johar’s directorial Student of the Year. She was fabulous in the movie, and everyone loved her effortless fashion sense.Now, she is all set to be seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Highway, which releases in December, and is latest’s most ambitious project till date. Alia’s fans have a lot of expectations from this film of hers, which is going to be the second release of her career.Soon after that she would be seen in Karan Johar’s 2 States, and a film with Varun Dhawan. However, despite that she doesn’t think of herself as a star."I don't have much acting experience. I am not a star. I am learning... there is a long way to go. As of now I am dependent on my directors," she said, while launching the new range with Maybelline. Praising her Highway co-star Randeep Hooda, she said, "He is a great actor and helped me a lot, he made me feel comfortable. Though he is senior, he is as young as I am. It is just a perception that he is older. Rather, there were times when I was acting older and saying don't do this or that."She is also impressed with Arjun Kapoor, with whom she stars in 2 States, and think of him as extremely supportive. "He is a great actor, I loved him in Ishaqzaade. He is an amazing person. He helped me in preparing for the role," said Alia.Have a go, girl!

Hollywood actor Paul Walker's death has came as a shock for everyone. A statement from his Facebook page announced that he had been a passenger in a friend’s car when it crashed just north of Los Angeles.The 40-year-old star of the Fast and the Furious films had been attending a charity event for Reach Out Worldwide at the time. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said officers found a red Porsche engulfed in flames.The two people inside the car were pronounced dead at the scene. A statement issued by Universal Pictures said they were “heartbroken” by the news and that they sent their “deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul’s family”.Bollywood celebrities took to Twitter to express their sorrow and grief. Varun Dhawan wrote "Can't believe Paul walker is gone. Life is crazy. Don't know why but this news has really depressed me. RIP Paul Walker". Preity Zinta expressed, "So sad to hear that Paul Walker died a fast and furious death in an accident in LA. Life is so short and fragile. May his soul rest in peace."Walker was best known for his role as Brian O'Conner in The Fast and The Furious and died in a car accident Saturday in Santa Clarita, California. He was 40.

Fukrey actress Vishakha Singh believes in doing quality work; that is the reason that she has rejected back-to-back films, which came her way after the success of Fukrey, which also starred Ali Fazal, Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Richa Chadda and Priya Anand.Also seen in films like Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey and Ankur Arora Murder Case, the actress is keen on doing roles, which offer her to prove her mettle in acting. "Post Fukrey, I have refused seven scripts. It's important to do what you completely believe in," Vishakha said. "I am game for anything - from drama, comedy, to thriller, romance and family entertainer. I want to try my hands at everything. I want to focus on good scripts where I have a pivotal role," added the actress, who will soon make her Malayalam debut with Rajesh Pillai's Motorcycle Diaries."The divide between the film industries is diminishing. I am comfortable in multiple languages. Once in a while, if good scripts like Motorcycle Diaries in Malayalam or a romantic comedy ValebRaja in Tamil comes my way, I will take them up," she said.Even though she is quite a known her in film industry, but doesn’t let that take a toll in her personal life. "I am not part of the rat race. At the end of the day, I know I did it on my own without a mentor, godfather or recommendations," Vishakha said. "I have seen the lows of the career very early on and have come to the conclusion that a Friday can change everything.
