Authors are allowed to published these journals to this site and reviewed by an editorial board that determines if the work will be an asset to this open access library. There are journals on various topics but after searching the site, I have noticed that the most popular journals are the ones that concern science and medicine.

The journal publishes a wide variety of different types of studies, from protocols, to phase 1 trail, to meta-analyses, including small or potentially low impact studies. The publishing procedures are fully open peer review and continuous publication which allows research to published online as soon as the article is ready.     Digital Media is always asking for comments on the topics discussed and this article teaches the difference in people who express their opinion and those that are trying to engage in discussion. In a classroom setting he suggests to have students participate in online discussions that make them responsible for showing what they have learned and how to summarize and analyze is properly. Online discussion also allow students to read all the information before saying a comment so that they have listened and taken in everything that has been said. In a classroom she suggest to divide the class into three groups that consist of "first responders," "arguers," and "consensus builders." Also she wants to teach social citation that requires students to cite posts from other students which they support. Online learning also allows students who are afraid to speak up in class to discuss without feeling embarrassed.

In the beginning of his teaching career him and a coworker created a paperless class that forced students to turn in assignments online; eventually turning it into a fully online course. Educational technology classrooms are created worldwide to use new modern ways to teach. Through online learning, students can use smaller parts to create a bigger picture which are then small parts for the collaboration of all the students work that is brought together. He leaves the readers with many questions about how to make the information accessible and accurate across the internet.

    This article describes the end to Microsoft's Live Seach Team. This team has indexed the contents of 750,000 books and 80 million scholarly journals. The project scanned books and put them into a database that allowed the contents to come up in a diiferent area online when the content was being searched for. This effort comes as a dissappointment due to its ending of the project.

    With the advancement of Digital Humanities and the ability to digitize text, this article talks about Brewster Kahle, the creator of Internet Archive and the home to thousands of books, journals, media, etc. Claiming to be a digital librarian, Internet Archive is an online database, much like Wayback Machine, where users can access out-of-print and out-of-copyrighted works. Kahle believes it is important to digitize these texts because one day they may not be available to the public anymore.

New Digital Humanities Project: The 18th-Century Common | HASTAC - 2 views

    Kirstyn Leuner reveals further information about a new Digital Humanities collaboration titled "The 18th-Century Common," the purpose of which is to "provide a medium for eighteenth-century scholars to communicate with an eager public non-academic readership." This projects website's main focus as of the opening is to provide scholarly essays on the arts and science in the 18th century, as well as a blog section for professors to share essays on these topics. The project's creators hope to gain contributions from scholars on the 18th century who would normally publish in journals, books, and other print media to add to their online database. This contributions are also open to students as well, and the author provides a link to gain more information on submitting work to the project.
