  • One purpose of this article is to provide clear definitions of the terms "validity" and "reliability" and illustrate these definitions through examples. A second purpose is to clarify how these issues may be addressed in the development of scoring rubrics. Scoring rubrics are descriptive scoring schemes that are developed by teachers or other evaluators to guide the analysis of the products and/or processes of students' efforts

THE ORIGINAL Scary 'Mary Poppins' Recut Trailer - YouTube - 0 views

  •
A superb example of "remixing" for popular culture content. While not, obviously, licensed for remixing (via Creative Commons or alternative), this parody (consistent with fair use of copyrighted materials) still showcases tactics involved in remixing (e.g., excerpting, re-sequencing, adding content elements) in a way that creates a new work from the old.

this website was found through the US. Department of Education. It gives parent helpful practical examples of how they can use everyday task such as shopping at the grocery store to get kids motivated and practicing their math skills. These type of hands on practical approaches are always great to do with young kids because it's a way to capitalize on their free time and to have them practice what they are learning in school without feeling like they are in a classroom.
