Screen Tutorials in Technical Learning - 0 views

  •
In technical subjects, learners respond well and benefit from the inclusion of imagery and video. How Do I Make a Good Screencast? In technical subjects, learners respond well and benefit from the inclusion of imagery and video. It seems obvious that our preferences in consuming information are changing rapidly today and rely less on textual comprehensiveness and more on brevity and reliance on conceptual images, both static and moving. This may be a driving factor in the new face of e-learning in the 2010s or it may be an effect of learner preferences. Either way, it is imperative designers and developers of technical content at least be aware of these trends and be prepared to accommodate the way learners most effectively consume their material. There's no vogue that's excellent for one and every one. Teaching designs can persist adapting to student desires. http://elearningindustry.com/subjects/general/item/453-pros-and-cons-of-campus-learning-vs-online-learning

Learning from Harvard: MOOC story, pt4 This latest installment of my quest to find online best practice from inside Harvard's CS50x MOOC took a slightly different direction than previous weeks. Now that I'm in the groove of the course, I have been able to reflect less on working with the content and more on working with my peers in the class. And I've realized that I'm not a very strong asset to them. http://elearningindustry.com/subjects/concepts/item/450-learning-from-harvard-mooc-story-pt4
