Contribute 15 minutes to an online survey on Instructional Design, Online Quality, and Technology Practice today! Looking for novice to expert Instructional Designers with online experience. My name is Eric Bose, an instructional design technology practitioner and a PhD learner at Capella University in the Instructional Design for Online Learning specialization. I am working on my dissertation that examines the potential relationships between practiced instructional competencies, technological abilities, and quality standards of online learning. I want to hear from you how technology and media have impacted your practice. You do not have to be an expert instructional designer, technology, or quality standards, but should have practiced instructional design in the online space at some point. The hope is to understand where relationships may exist between the practice of competencies, technology, and quality amongst instructional designers and I need your help to get us there. I am actively seeking participants for this research study and this should only take about 15 minutes to complete.

This position is responsible for leading and implementing online and distance instruction in a variety of healthcare areas and situations through lecture, lab and clinical instruction. The program's "career ladder" includes three levels of certification; the beginning level is a one quarter Nursing Assistant (NA) class; after four quarters of programmatic instruction, students are eligible for the Practical Nursing (PN) certificate; the career ladder culminates at the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).     Exploring the layers of social learning by Julian Stodd We used to live in two worlds: the workplace, which was a formal and restricted environment, typified by moderated messages and codified behaviours that fitted within defined parameters of 'acceptable', and then the social world, which was unrestricted and expressive, ranging from conversations in the pub to heated debates about politics, religion and which cocktail to order next. These worlds were separate, colliding only at moments of misjudged intra-office relationships and the alcohol-fuelled miscommunication of the office Christmas party. But no more. The world has changed under us and there is no formal and social divide. We inhabit a grey space of 'social', where people answer office emails from the bath and use Facebook in meetings. That photograph of the holiday in Ibiza will haunt you in your next job interview and the post about how much you hate your boss has just gone global thanks to a misjudged retweet.
