Collaborative book written by education professionals and teachers with descriptions of a vast array of technology tools for all levels of the K-12 curriculum. P. 67 - Addresses school filtering and CIPA.
What
is the history behind the tool?
The Technology
Integration Matrix (TIM) was developed to help guide the complex task
of evaluating technology integration in the classroom. Basic technology
skills and integration of technology into the curriculum go hand-in-hand
to form teacher technology literacy. Encouraging the seamless use of
technology in all curriculum areas and promoting technology literacy
are both key NCLB:Title II-D/EETT program purposes. The Inventory for
Teacher Technology Skills (ITTS) companion tool is designed to help
districts evaluate teachers’ current levels of proficiency with
technology and is also used as a professional development planning
and needs assessment resource. The TIM is envisioned as an EETT program
resource which can help support the full integration of technology
in Florida schools.
What
is in each cell?
Each cell
in the matrix will have a video (or several videos) which illustrate
the integration of technology in classrooms where only a few computers
are available and/or classrooms where every student has access to a
laptop computer.
Transformation
The teacher creates a rich learning environment
in which students regularly engage in activities that would
have been impossible to achieve without technology.
Indicator: Given
ongoing access to online resources, students actively
select and pursue topics beyond the limitations of even
the best school library.
Collaborative
Indicator: Technology
enables students to collaborate with peers and experts
irrespective of time zone or physical distances.
Goal
Directed
Indicator: Students
use technology to construct, share, and publish knowledge
to a worldwide audience.
Authentic
Indicator: By
means of technology tools, students participate in outside-of-school
projects and problem-solving activities that have meaning
for the students and the community.
Constructive
Indicator: Students
engage in ongoing metacognative activities at a level that
would be unattainable without the support of technology
tools.

Integration Matrix for printing as a PDF.
"In the first of a series of 5 webinars, Martin Burrett (@ICTMagic) showcased innovative ways that school leaders and teachers can eliminate the bulk of e-mails out of their school lives.
Using online, collaborative communication tools, teachers and school leaders can easily send messages to each other, with fantastic tools that allow users to 'turn off notifications', or turning on 'snooze mode'. Such features help in that messages only arrive when the user specifies, therefore eliminating the need to deal with e-mails when they arrive at a time when individuals should be resting."
This was a downloadable doc, so I put it into my public Evernote notebook of permission forms and other things about flattening the classroom, this link links to that notecard. This is a permission form for students who are using advanced Web 2 tools, collaborating online, and a media release. If you are in a conservative district, this permission from 2009 may help you.

Welcome to TEACH WEB 2.0
We are a group of curious teachers who explore and brainstorm ways to integrate Web 2.0 technologies into our teaching.
Our mission:
Safely steer our students through Web 2.0 tools and technologies
Goals
* Research Web 2.0 tools and social networking sites
* Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT)
* Brainstorm effective, appropriate educational applications
The following is a common question heard around teacher workrooms, teacher lunchrooms, faculty meetings, and science or math conferences.
"Why use web 2.0 tools when teaching science or math?"
The answer is both simple and complex at the same time.
