OK, so lots of things are pretty cool about Google Buzz but I absolutely hate that my already full inbox is now full of Google Buzz stuff. I just want to keep it separate. From lifehacker, just filter out label:buzz to go somewhere else. Done!

They can be popular because they're sweet, they give you a lift and they have hip-sounding names like Red Bull and Spike Shooter. But school officials across the country aren't as buzzed about caffeinated energy drinks as some of their students. They're worried about young people gulping down too much caffeine _ and getting so hyper that they lose focus on their studies.

A new RSS reader has come on the scene called Fever. It lets you say "how hot" certain feeds are for you and also looks at the web and predicts the hottest things for you to read. I'm on my ipad this weekend so I can't buy and install fever (I think it resides on a Mac -- looking for a PC version now.) This is basically software that one person designed that is getting some buzz in tech circles for usability and making RSS feed reading manageable again. Worth a look.

Cyberlearning is another buzz word in the literature of  the 21st education. With the growing integration of technology into education there emerged some new  forms of learning that just decades ago never existed. It is a positive sign that educators are moving with the current and not against it.

I do it, too. Like Suzie, it means I have more favorites than I otherwise would have. I also use the rss feed https://twitter.com/favorites/edwebb.rss to put them into Google Reader in case I want to share further via Buzz or other means, and to have them show up in an RSS widget on some of my course or other wikipages, blogs etc.

Really, there should be vice principals in schools who have the job to set up an RSS page to monitor this for their schools. Who is monitoring what people are saying about your business or organization? Do you care? You should!
