This is a MUST TRY site. It's not often that I'm amazed be an educational resource, but I am with this one. Pora Ora is a stunning educational virtual world for Primary school aged students. Play truely fun educational games which practise skills in English, maths and many other subjects. The graphics and useably is superb. Online safety is at the heart of this site. The parential admin account can set the student's account to free chat with everyone to completely locked down where they have the world to themselves and everything in between. The site has a language filter and users can report any incidents of trouble. Also, the first task requires the user to complete an online safety task. Susan Oxnevad has some more powerful infographics. In this case, she's linked together many of her posts about developing a digital toolkit and relating SAMR to Common Core. There are some great resources here for technology integrators as well as observing Susan's style for graphically sharing her information.

Nice assignment from teachers Helen Chang and Susan Oxnevad. I like how they use graphics to make the assignment easier to follow. It is to write an article review of a current event relating to drugs.

Mia MacMeekin at "An Ethical Island" has made a profound infographic "27 Ways to innovate" that you'll want to share and read.I love the quotes and suggestions throughout this graphic which is inspiration, insightful, and very motivational.Why not get each teacher to pick something and come back together and discuss.

Charles Minard's compelling infographic from the 1800's depicts Napolean's march and shows the number of men he had, the path they took, and the temperature on the return route in a powerful way. This is an example of infographics and how they can tell a story. If you're a history teacher you'll want to use this graphic and perhaps challenge your students to use an infographics tool to tell a story of a historical event.

This website lets you visualize your resume with a powerful infographic and is designed to work with Linked in. Have students create a similar graphic about what it will take to get to their desired career. Fascinating tool with a very specific purpose.

Great site with many resources for people who are blind.

This website has a wide variety of information for the blind community. You'll notice that this site doesn't have a lot of graphics -- that is because it is very accessible and usable for those using voice-enabled web browsing. This is a great resource for educators and those working with special needs.
