Prezi is an interactive and free presentation tool. You can create slide shows online and present them that way, or download them and show them as a power point type show.

Prezi is a web based power point presentation with a twist. It is easy to use and FREE. I would encourage my workshoppers to use this tool to have students create the steps of learning a dance. This would be a great way to present the knowledge that they have acquired by using the Wii Just Dance program. I might also suggest that they use it to have students create and teach their own warm-ups.

I found this tool to be better than others given its simplicity and the fact that it retains transitions and animations. The overall quality of the output is quite good also and the use of the tool is fairly straight forward.

Power Points, in my mind, are primarily focused on a learner-centered approach. One can use the rubrics to help determine various aspects in creating a multimedia project. The main page contains a quick link section to help the user easily find the needed links. Rubrics are a great way for the learner to understand the requirements of a project. A rubric falls under generative learning. Many times when a project is assigned, the student has a difficult time determining what exactly should be completed to meet all the requirements. Generative learning helps the learner make sense of the material and supports an engaging learning environment. By using a rubric on an assessment activity, the instructor ensures that the participants are actively engaged by helping them organizer the expectations and criteria.
