This site allows the user to create online thinking tools such as visual ranking, seeing reason, and showing evidence. This site is useful, because it allows the user to show the relationships between key concepts of the workshop. The tools have tutorials, examples, and instructional strategies. This is a site that provides guidance and support for exploration with the tools.

This narrated video tour introduces the learner on how to add content areas to Blackboard. I was a highly proficient user of the old Blackboard, and this was the hardest area for me to adjust to in learning Blackboard Learn because it was very different, and had many more options than previously. There are few non-manufacturer resources available because of the newness of this version of the platform.

This is by far one of the best powerpoint oriented portals on the web. The nice thing is that you can save a useful ppt on your computer without licensing issues. The drawback is that there are so many options and links that just dropping in for a fast pick-up of a presentation is difficult. Additional links on the site go to educational clipart and interactive activities. Just a great site.

Survey monkey can be used for more then just the occasional 'what do you think'. Use it for both pre and post testing in edtech.

Survey monkey is an online survey site that will allow for trainers and participants to determine where the current state of knowledge is on a given topic. Participants could be given the survey the week before the training which would allow the presenter to modify instruction and content if needed. I chose survey monkey over other online survey providers because of its always free basic package. Most other sites offered a limited free trial. http://www.surveymonkey.com/

Survey Monkey is a multimedia tool online that allows users to create custom surveys in minutes. Based on what you create, all the results of the survey participants will be delivered to you. Surveys can contain answer choices, open ended answers, or both. It is free to use and saves time on the creation of surveys. 

Use this video with adolescent learners and they will watch it twice then use what they have learned. Adults take a few more views...

Digital Storytelling is the practice of using computer-based tools to tell stories. As with traditional storytelling, most digital stories focus on a specific topic and contain a particular point of view. However, as the name implies, digital stories usually contain some mixture of computer-based images, text, recorded audio narration, video clips and/or music. Digital stories can vary in length, but most of the stories used in education typically last between two and ten minutes. And the topics that are used in Digital Storytelling range from personal tales to the recounting of historical events, from exploring life in one's own community to the search for life in other corners of the universe, and literally, everything in between. Promethean Planet also has a viewer that may be downloaded for free. Templates and additional clipart is another part of this site's resources. Easy to use.

This comprehensive website offers information, tutorials, and resources for utilizing the UDL Book Builder tool. This is the site of the program developer and is very thorough, as well as easy to use.

One of the best sites I've found for an overview of digital storytelling. The site is at the essential cognitive level, giving visitors an overview of key terms, tools, and concepts. The site shares several powerful examples and offers some great reflection by its author on the assessment process, including students' self-assessments. 

Brief description ...: This program allows the teacher to create a visual word cloud from a list of words or passages which helps to familiarize the learner with information that will be covered during the lesson or training session. As a generative process, the learners working memory is stimulated as it opens the senses for what is to come, during the presentation. Brief explanation ...: I like this site because it can be used to summarize documents like reports, speeches, and etc. into easily read word clouds. In addition, it makes important words bigger than other words.

After completing, these word clouds can be printed out. * Brief explanation of why you found this site to be better than others you found: Besides the fact that this is a free resource, it is very user friendly because it allows users to design their own word clouds as they would like (i.e. choose their layout, choose their own colors, fonts, sizes, etc.).

Description: Allows users to create graphics style art with words. Words are randomly positioned where the more important words are made bigger. Explanation: This is a great tool for tool for users to create a cluster of words about a topic and use them the same way they might use a graphic. This was preferred to other programs because there is no registration required.
