Picasa is a great way to organize photos into timelines and albums either on your computer or online. Picasa can be used to edit photos and add text. Movies, collages, slideshows can be made. Photos and items made from picasa can be used by parents, teachers, and children. Teachers can document the progress and activities throughout the school year. Children can use Picasa for showing off their projects or documenting their own personal progress.

This is free easy photo sharing and also works for Macs. Parents and children could conceivably use it at home to make illustrated books with captions since there is a caption writing feature.

Edublog is an online technology tool that was created by educators, intended for educational professionals. This tool is commonly used by teachers of all grades (preschool, k-12, college). Edublog is a free blogging tool that allows you to communicate in several different ways; this type of blogging has several features that are appealing to educators and students.

Site for sharing ideas, photos, stories. Anyone can access the blogsite, like any other website. Comments can be made on the blogs by the viewers. This tool allows the creator to personalize the page with themes and gadgets. This site could be used by teachers within the classroom for older students to do writing projects. Blogger could also be used as a parent/teacher collaboration tool in early childhood settings.

Fun and easy to use and customize. Good tool for education/classroom blogging.

This site was really easy to set up, but I've had a hard time using it to search for and follow other applicable blogs. Any suggestions?

The ePals Global Learning community is a very useful networking, and collaborative tool. I found it very easy to use. It is easy to sign up and free to use. I have had no problems using this website.

This website is a very good resource for teachers. They can find almost any video to use as a visual component for their lessons. It is nice because it shows videos from sites such as youtube, as well as other video websites. Teachers would also be able to upload videos of their class to share with parents or other educators.

This is an easy way to start a blog. It walks you through all the steps you go through to start one and all of the features it comes with. You can decide who sees your blog, add pictures, use it from your cell phone, etc. This would be good for teachers to use for their classroom because it has special features and seems easy to use.

Snapfish has a really neat way where teachers and parents can communicate with each other by posting thier pictures to a secure room. It is a really great way for parents to share pictures of their vacations, outings, or fun adventures they experience with the class. There is also a way that parents can take their child's artwork and turn it into calendars, purses, etc.

This is a great way for teachers, parents, and students to get to know one another by sharing their photos, in a safe and secure room. SchoolTube is a website where teachers and students can upload and watch videos for free. Students can search and watch videos safely. All videos that are posted on this site must be approved by registered teachers, follow local school guidelines, and adhere to schoolTubes high standards.

This blog is written by an early childhood teacher out of Florida. She uses this to update her parents and communicate with them about what is going on in the classroom. She posts entries here and there and also uploads pictures to share, which offers a balanced view of the classroom. She has it organized by recent posts, where parents can click on the title and also by categories. Additionally she has a bar on the side of her page which offers great websites and resources that parents can access.

Scholastic website is well-organized and has good resources available. One can sort online learning activities by age level, including Pre K-K activities. The blog appears to be the same as Christina's Classroom (Christian Germano).

This is a blog written by John Funk who "has worked in the early childhood field since 1979. He has taught preschool, first and second grades, and he spent the largest part of his teaching career in kindergarten. Mr. Funk was named "Utah Teacher of the Year" in 1996. He has worked as an early childhood specialist for a large school district and has managed early childhood services for Salt Lake CAP Head Start. He is past president of the Utah AEYC. As an early childhood, reading, and literacy consultant for the last decade, he has written on early childhood subjects and products for McGraw Hill and Leap Frog. He served on the editorial panel for Young Children magazine published by NAEYC. Currently, Mr. Funk is the Manager of Educational Programs for Excelligence Learning Corporation, and he teaches courses in children's literature and early reading at the University of Utah."
