Universal healthcare has been a rising problem within the United States considering the virus we are dealing with now. The major problem is that citizens have to pay outrageous amounts of money, in order to pay for healthcare. The article helps inform why we have our current system and what is stopping us from reaching universal healthcare for everyone.

This advocates for the implementation of universal healthcare in the United States. It also talks briefly about why Americans seem to be so resistant to a new healthcare system.

I liked how the article pointed out that people are doing go fund me accounts and that is a good example because many people are unable to afford healthcare and people are depending on other individuals to pay for their medical bills and it is a huge issue.

I really like the use of "trigger words" in education. I don't think it matters if it is used in college or in K12. The whole point is to alert you to a possible trauma causing conversation or topic that could come up in class that could make someone uncomfortable. Unfortunately there are so many triggers in the world today that you could never call out all of them. The teacher made reference to an apple. Who would think that was a trigger? Not I.

The author, Dylan Matthews, introduces the idea of a universal basic income by explaining the details of the study done by the Roosevelt Institute. According to their research, universal basic income would permanently grow the economy by around 13 percent. The author then explained the various assumptions the researchers of this study had to make to predict how this policy would effect the economy. In the conclusion of his article, the author tells us that taxes would be raised to make this a viable option.

Healthcare is an issue that is present today, especially with the election that just occurred. Some believe that everyone should have free access to healthcare and note that if other countries can do it, so can we. The other believe that it is the individuals personal responsibility to figure out how they are going to get it and believe that universal coverage would be too expensive.

I agree completely. It is possible and other countries have proven it. It's just a matter of rejecting the lobbyists, insurance companies, and pharmaceuticals that make money off of private citizens. Healthcare should be a basic human right and not something that can cause you to go bankrupt.

ASU did suspend the fraternity as soon as it was discovered, but it is unapparent at this time whether or not the students know what they did wrong.
