The most persecuted group in world - 1 views

  •
Perry Chiaramonte reports a study taken by the Center for Studies on New Religions, and quotes Robert Nicholson and Ryan Mauro on the subject of Christian persecution. Being a Christian is the most dangerous thing you can do in many nations, and Christianity is the religion of the powerless.
  •
I must say, I am not at all surprised that this study shows Christians as being the "most persecuted group in the world." All throughout history Christians have been persecuted in one way or another, especially during the Middle Ages. It is sad, however, to see how far from that era the world had come, yet seemingly is now back-sliding to that.

This article discusses and gives a few examples of Christian persecution here in the United States. In the examples given, this persecution has been a result of Christians standing up for their beliefs by not providing services for homosexual weddings. This is so powerful. Voice of the Martyrs is an amazing organization. What I find to be so sad, is how in today's world, so many people are up in arms about how they think they have been mistreated or overlooked, yet when Christians are out there suffering horrendous things, they all look the other way and pretend not to notice. I mean, other people's problems are important, but I feel society turns a blind eye towards Christians.

Addressing the Global Refugee Crisis - 0 views

  •
Amanda B. Clinton wrote an article talking about the crisis refugees are facing with psychological health. She stated that the APA Office of International Affairs hosted a program called the International Learning Partner Program in Kosovo. 10 U.S. based psychologists who joined the program in Kosovo allowed people like Ilir, an expert in Balkan culture, who had no choice but to flee his country.According to United Nations High Commissions on Refugees every 20 minutes people leave everything behind in order to escape the terror of war and persecution. Okazaki, Haarlammert, Guler and Liu (2019), indicated that psychology has never been more important than it is today. With the strong leadership in the APA evidence on the recognition of the refugees rights has increasingly gotten a lot better.

Why Should You Care About Separation Of Church And State? - 2 views

  •
This article talks about why church and state should be separate entities. It talks about how it is our right to follow any religion or none at all. To create a government that focuses on one religious group would cause discrimination against other groups as well as disrespect those of whom don't follow said religion. Keeping church and state separate also promotes the free exchange of ideas without fear of being persecuted for having a different belief. It is important to defend the separation of church and state as defending the 1st amendment right, defends personal liberties and promotes basic respect.
