Religious Discrimination - Workplace Fairness - 2 views

  •
Do you ever wonder when you are able to practice your religion? Have you ever been denied a job opportunity or given rude looks because you believed in something someone else did not? This website provides a lot of helpful information regarding religious discrimination and shows how our society views it currently.

Religion in itself is a touchy subject. Religion in the workplace is even more so. great article with very detailed aspects on major points of religion in the workplace.
  •
This article along with anything oriented around Religious Freedoms makes me fume. Workplace discrimination is a double bladed sword in my opinion. The employee has the right to practice religion in the workplace in many cases, but the owning entity is forced to forfeit their liberty to refuse based on their own beliefs. Duality and legality in its most primitive forms.
  •
I believe that we as individuals should be able to be open and free about ourselves. Religion is a HUGE part of some people's lives, to the point they live and breathe nothing but their religion. Totally not the same, but it's almost like breastfeeding in the workplace. Some people (such as myself) need to take breaks to pump,I am constantly being joked about, given rude looks, and mocked for something I chose to do as a mother, much like those who are ridiculed for being religious. We should all be able to do and be as we please.

Criminal Justice & Social Justice: - 0 views

The criminal justice system is unfair. Some people cant afford expensive lawyers meaning they will be treated differently and more than likely not win their case due to not having money for a expensive lawyer.

Why Social Justice in School Matters | NEA - 0 views

  •
In school today there is not fair treatment across-the-board. There needs to be fair and equal treatment given to everyone despite race, age, sexuality, or ability.
  •
Social justice should be more awareness in every school. It seems that there is no respect no human treatment. Every one should be cautions in how treat people and not divided by race, age and more.
  •
Interesting article about how social justice can effect school outcomes.

It's Too Expensive to Go to College Anymore - 0 views

  •
America is the land where all your hopes and dreams can come true. Anyone with a drive to learn more should have an equal and fair opportunity to attend college. We could only fantasize about free college education. Student debt is expected to rise from $35,000 to $45,000 in the next generation and will only continue to go up. A college degree is worth so much more than a college degree. A good education is valuable. Although the price may be high, you will be rewarded by help for the future. Joseph, M. (2013) It's too expensive to go to college anymore. Available at: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/marc-joseph/its-too-expensive-to-go-t_b_3935231.html (Accessed: 12 September 2016). Privacy: A Failed Experiment? - 1 views

  •
Is privacy real? Google records websites visited on computers to pop up ads, that's how they make their money. Privacy is seeming less like a right and more of a goal. With surveillance of the government are infringing more upon citizens privacy. Why should the government be able to view our emails when Hillary Clinton deletes all of hers and is backed by the FBI?
  •
I completely agree. I feel that privacy is a mere illusion in our society. Just because their is no paper trail, does not mean that there is no digital fingerprint. The government has always been a double-standard in how they have the power to make the rules, and yet they break them. People like Hillary just have more connections and the means to get themselves out of trouble.
  •
This was a very interesting article. It does give a lot of truths about how the goverment has gone behind our backs and gone through people's private information at times. It is not fair at all for the government to be doing something like this without reasonable suspicion and a court order.

Social Versus Criminal Justice by Doug Traubel and Charles E. Corry, Ph.D. - 0 views

  •
From time immemorial societies have sought ways to regulate and control human behavior in a fair and just manner. It would appear the issues start out fairly simple, say a law stating: You shall not kill... except ...and the "except" is why there is no consistent universal code of justice.
