PROTECTING YOUR PRIVATE PROPERTY RIGHTS - 0 views

  •
court ruling expanded the ability of state and local governments to exercise eminent domain powers to seize private property under the guise of "economic development" when the "public use" is something as non-public as a new housing development or shopping center that would generate more tax revenues even in situations where the government takes property from one private individual and gives it to another private entity. cities may now take private residencies to build shopping centers and malls.

US: Immigrant Injustice | Human Rights Watch - 0 views

  •
Immigrants are not getting the justice they deserve due to the lack of legal documentation. US citizens take advantage of immigrants by not paying them for jobs or by stealing the illegal's property and threaten to call immigration if they say anything.
  •
I like the article that you picked, I think immigration is a strong topic to do re-search on. I'm re-searching more for illegal immigration, a lot of people complain about the immigrants but once they leave no one wants to pick up their jobs for as little as the illegals worked for. I've learned that the Arizona economy took a hit for this, but also a lot more jobs became available for citizens.

I like how you provided us with a link to bullying laws here in Arizona. I think it is important for us to understand this laws and how it works. Plus, I know this is legitimate knowing it came directly from the Arizona Legislature website. I found number 18 to be interesting "Make an annual report to the county school superintendent on or before October 1 in the manner and form and on the blanks prescribed by the superintendent of public instruction or county school superintendent."
  •
I was not aware that there was this much bullying laws passed in Arizona. I am happy to see that our government has taken a part of bullying.

Why our education funding systems are so important to students futures - 0 views

  •
A massive part of school district funding is local property taxes, which is why the high property value areas have better funded schools. If we want to thrive as a country we need to have quality education and funding for schools everywhere not just the wealthy districts but the colored and poverty districts, too. Quality education should be for everyone.

Eminent domain is a controversial issue where some think that government is overstepping its bounds and infringing on the right to own property. Many believe that are benefits to eminent domain which help communities grow economically. A darker side of eminent domain is the mass eviction of poor people for redevelopment projects.
