    Big pharma companies have taken advantage of everyday Americans in need of their daily support during the chaotic times we live in. Many of the drugs used each day to help patients fighting Covid-19 have drastically gone up in price since the first case appeared in america. With these prices changes many Americans may not be able to get the proper help needed to get better, and as such may extend the time needed for us to fight off the virus as a whole.

    I personally did not know that this was happening right now, but it unfortunately makes sense because it is in such high demands. I do not think that they should be doing that & its awful that if someone can't pay for these drugs, they have a potential of losing their life, which should not be a problem.

    Of course big pharma would do this. By raising prices of these drugs, pharmaceutical companies are effectively making it more difficult for people with other healthcare conditions to afford these drugs. As an example, with the price of Ativan increasing, this may result in people who suffer from panic disorder to have difficulty affording a medication that they have a need for.

    As sad as this is, it's truly not surprising. Our society is so based on how much money someone does or doesn't have and companies will take advantage of it. Especially with the pandemic and the uncertainty of what helps, this is sickening.

    The article reviews recent news from Arizona government limiting water supply allotted to farmers for 2022 due to the record breaking low of the Colorado river and the status of the drought. It reviews climate changes effects on our western water supply from the Colorado River and Arizona's share of its percentage being cut by an agreement from the early 1900s. The water supply will force farmers into seeking more resourceful ways of farming from drought proof crop to reducing their growing area and crop types but ultimately demands a change in how the western states and Arizona source their water supply as it effects our food supply for the future.

    I have witnessed domestic violence first hand and the devastation it causes. It isn't always physical abuse either. A lot of times it is verbal and manipulative. It is very sad that insecurities and mental issues have such a devastating effect.

    Domestic violence can be physically, sexually and mentally. Many people now days want to have control of the relationship. When a person is starting to be possessive and controlling is a sign that you are going to be miserable with that person. People are free to do whatever they want to do, think how they want to think. we have to take action. No more domestic violence.

    I would like to see more of a punishment for cases involving abuse. So many cases slip through, or are not made a priority due to it being such a common issue. It is tragic to think someone can get away with victimizing family members, partners, or even strangers. I also believe substance abuse plays a huge role in why people want to have the upper-hand on others.

    People need to be more aware of signs that could possibly be domestic violence. I also think that we should learn more about it as children in school, and even offer ways for young ones to seek help if they're afraid.

    This is an issue that always bothered me because I never understood why people fight against it so hard. If you don't like something it doesn't mean you have to participate in it. If you are against gay marriage then gay marriage doesn't apply to you. It's not like you will be forced to marry someone of the same gender it simply means that everyone, as stated in the constitution, receives their basic human rights. It doesn't mean you have to like it but you should at least respect the lives of other individuals who have been on the receiving end of discrimination for decades.

    It is extremely messed up to charge such high prices for information that the older edition that came out before it had. When purchasing these so called "NEW" textbooks that looks so much alike and sound pretty much the same. The only difference would be the cover, publishing date, etc. Yes I get that that's pretty much how business works but still, if students can get the same information else where, why force them to buy such high priced books?

    I think we can all relate to this article. It's sometimes mind boggling on how much some of our texts cost even when they are used. It's a business and they need to make money and they do it very well since we have no choice but to buy these books to further our education.

    College courses require a text book and the suppliers have a hay day with it. They mark up the books because students have no choice but to buy them. It is a never ending income for them because they can update the info so often.

    This is an interesting perspective. I do believe education in America needs to be improved and the lack of action will cause America to become irrelevant in our modern era. I believe we need to reform our education system that is already in place and have families make it a higher priority rather than have the federal government mandate a solution.

    Definitely a topic I always find myself neutral. I try to have positive outlooks with the U.S. being the number 1 with the immigration. I get that most immigrants come here for the American dream (freedom) but then I think shouldn't they come here the right way by becoming a citizen first? Since we would have to as well if we were to go live in their countries. Then I see stuff on the news in the U.S. about shootings, bombs, etc caused by an immigrant. That would be my negative outlook.

    A poll done by the Knight-Gallup foundation is reviewed in this article by MTSU in which the author, Ken Paulson, gives his thoughts on the polarizing effects of how American Media has changed from being simply separated by partisanship to a new era of inflamed division. Paulson cites the poll by Knight-Gallup to show that public opinion coincides with his own views in that our media is too heavily biased and is to blame for political division. The article has a strong close bringing readers to be introspective as to why the news articles in which they might place blame are continuously fired up by views and demand.
