The article reviews recent news from Arizona government limiting water supply allotted to farmers for 2022 due to the record breaking low of the Colorado river and the status of the drought. It reviews climate changes effects on our western water supply from the Colorado River and Arizona's share of its percentage being cut by an agreement from the early 1900s. The water supply will force farmers into seeking more resourceful ways of farming from drought proof crop to reducing their growing area and crop types but ultimately demands a change in how the western states and Arizona source their water supply as it effects our food supply for the future.
  •
It is truly devastating how the drought is affecting the food supply and our farmers in Arizona, there is a need for better water management, and we need a lot more water in Arizona to survive in the intense heat.
  •
I can't imagine how a farmer feels. The colorado river needs a dramatic change.

Racial injustice - 1 views

Schools are discriminating against color people. Now allowing them to have the supplies they need. Telling them they are not smart enough to understand a concept based off the color of their skin. Ignoring the bullying that comes from not only the student but the faculty as well.
  •
I completely agree with this article. I feel that if children are allowed the same resources and are taught how to combat racism from a young age, future generations will be safer and more peaceful.

It is amazing to see the differences that people can make when donations are made, or even driving homeless people to a shelter to help them get their feet back on the ground.
  •
This is a great resource for the homeless. My family and I put on a Christmas party for the needy every year and we always invite the people from the mission. The Mission feeds and supplies a place for them to sleep at night.
  •
It's so heartbreaking to know that people have to dig through the trash to just get some "food". I don't think anyone wants to be homeless I think that people get to a low and have a hard time picking themselves up. It's the volunteers and organizations who give a helping hand out to get these people back up.
  •
Homelessness is something every state has, weather its minimal or like Arizona ranking the 15th highest in the U.S. This article displays information on the different parts of AZ; Maricopa leading with 61% of the 71% of homeless people. This includes, families, single moms with children, and mainly men. In detail, it also list the main reasons people become homeless.

This article was very informational on the different types of bottled water. Many people don't take the time to actually educate themselves on the differences. It's very helpful to know what kind of filtration and the process each water company goes through.
  •
I didn't even know this was an issue so this has really got me thinking and pretty freaked out so thank you I guess.
  •
I like how Consumer Reports breaks it down for you. I've heard of this issue before, but with so many labels I'm never quite sure what they all mean. It's also a shame that we can't trust our local water supply to provide us adequate drinking water without all of the chemicals.
  •
Wow! Thats interesting. I always wondered what the difference was between spring water and purified. I like that it showed the information in a chart whether than a long paragraph to read.
  •
The article is short and to the point. Like myself, I believe that there are numerous people who are unaware of where their water comes from. I would have liked the article to include information on the types of materials or plastic used to bottle our water as well.

Unequal School Funding in the United States - Educational Leadership - 1 views

  •
This article talks about unequal school funding in the United States. It talks about the effects of unequal school funding and how each state is funded differently.
  • ...3 more comments...
  •
School funding is very important and should be equally funded in order for everyone to have equal opportunities. It also plays a big role on the future and what is to come of it.
  •
School funding plays a big role in education, it effects the school's equipment and learning supplies to help a child succeed in school.
  •
School funding has a major impact on the learning of children in the classrooms. When I was in elementary school I had switched in the middle of the year and I could tell that my second school had better funding and I questioned why schools wouldn't have equal amount of funding.
  •
Schools 100% need more funding than they receive. They are the foundation of childhood and for a child not to be able to learn to their full potential because they aren't able to have all the resources they need is heartbreaking.
  •
The topic of school funding is vast and varies from state to state; however, we can agree that underfunding of schools is a huge problem. The article shows the difference of school funding between each state and the how it impacts students. It also highlights the difference of school funding between the U.S and other countries.

The Effects of Immigration on the United States' Economy - Penn Wharton Budget Model - 2 views

  •
An article from a college about statistics and effects immigration has on our economy. Negative or positive you make up your mind on how immigration effects us.
  •
Definitely a topic I always find myself neutral. I try to have positive outlooks with the U.S. being the number 1 with the immigration. I get that most immigrants come here for the American dream (freedom) but then I think shouldn't they come here the right way by becoming a citizen first? Since we would have to as well if we were to go live in their countries. Then I see stuff on the news in the U.S. about shootings, bombs, etc caused by an immigrant. That would be my negative outlook.
  •
This article was very interesting. I have often wondered what the effects of immigration are, and if they affect the economy positively or negatively.

Conserving Water in AZ - 2 views

  •
Water is constantly being used, whether its simply for drinking, or maybe for watering the plants. Either way AZ doesn't have an endless supply of water. It's good for people to learn how to start being more conservative with the amount of water used on a daily basis.
  •
Water is always being used, Taking a shower, drinking, doing your dishes, etc. I feel like people abuse water for sure, I'm happy Arizona is stepping up and trying to conserve water. I like how SRP made a list on how to teach us how to use water careful

10 Ways to Save Water at Home - 3 views

  •
Conserving water is a must. We need water to do most of our living. We really don't think about water when we wash our hands, taking a shower, or even watering our lawn.
  • ...2 more comments...
  •
Definitely agree big time with this one. Water is used daily, and so much of it too. People don't realize how much water a single person uses daily, and there is millions of people in Phoenix alone. We don't have an endless water supply and it's very important we watch how much water we use everyday. I love how the website you provided lists ways to save water!
  •
Water in Arizona is very limited. We are always in a drought and this article definitely helps people to open their minds about this. I love this article because it shows how simple it is to reduce.
  •
Agreed! Water is essential for everyone and we are wasting tons of it. Lots of us not even knowing! We recently had a person from our water company come to our home and tell us we were using too much water. Turns out we had a toilet constantly running. Makes you wonder how many other places are affected not even knowing.
  •
Wow, the US used 170 gpd per capita while other counties like Australia only use 36! That is crazy. I completely agree that we should limit our water usage not just because it is wasteful, but also in my article it pointed out the benefits on our ecosystem.

This is a really great resource, I read it and couldn't think of any questions that the site hadn't already answered about the topic. I think it is reliable because I couldn't find any bias, it is a somewhat recent post, and it provides factual information with credible support.
