The article is about a dad who normally uses taking away privileges, decided to use a more severe punishment due to repeated lying, got his son taken away. The child still resides in CPS care even after several months of hearings.

The author reviews the purpose of Residential Schools for the Deaf and how they influence the social life and wellbeing of the children who are sent there for the better. The article shows a bias leaning towards the schools although there are many hearing families who find themselves troubled by the idea of sending their Deaf children away from K-12 but the article brings forward the positive aspects of how a residential school is uniquely capable of helping deaf children develop confidence and capable social skills that would allow them to experience a proper education unlike a mainstream public school in which they would most definitely be out-casted by their lack of resources, culture, language, and role models. It shows both the pros and cons of the residential schools for the Deaf in America but with a clear bias, however this is not unreasonable. Despite the clear bias towards residential schools from the author the article offers a point of view of hearing parents finding issue with sending their child away from home for long periods of time as they would experience with a residential school.

There was no justice to this case. A rapist got a away with a slap on the wrist with only serving three month in jail. The judge only convicted the white athlete with three mounts for that he claims jail would have been to much harm for the privilege kid.

My mother was born to an unwed 15 year old in 1940. My mother was given away in adoption to a family member. My grandmother wanted to have my mom (she had fallen in love with a service man who was killed in German) but her mom wanted her to have an abortion. It was illegal in those days and my grandmother refused to go to the "special doctor." So she was shipped away to a home for girls like her in Chicago to have my mom. My story is different then most. I am a product of a saved baby. Without my grandmother fighting for my mom, myself, my brother, my children, we would be dead. It is harder to speak to a child that survived abortion. No one has the right to tell me that we do not have the right to live. I am so grateful that abortion was illegal. I am so grateful that my beautiful children are alive.We are blessed.

Whenever this issue comes up one thing always pops into my head. My body, my choice. I am a female that was born and raised in the Catholic church and had to listen to this stuff for years. It never made sense to me why so many people try revoking this right from women. If you don't support it, fine. However, to take the option away from women who do want abortion as an option opens up even more negative doors. When women do not have a safe environment to discuss these options and the operation itself is made illegal then women who are desperate are more likely to go to back alley doctors or try to perform their own abortion. This often leads to more deaths among women whether it be from a botched, cheap operation or a horrific infection. It should also be noted that each woman is different. They might want the option of abortion for various reasons. Perhaps something is wrong with the child, and the doctors note it won't live past a couple of days, maybe the woman was raped and ended up pregnant, perhaps the fetus was dying and was also killing the mother, perhaps the woman just doesn't want children. You never know the circumstances of why a woman chooses to have an abortion, and they should never be judged for it or have that right revoked.

This article argues that seat-belt laws take away our freedom. This article covers how seat-belts increase our chances of survival during an accident. It also talks about how although it seems that the government is protecting us with these laws, but people should still be able to have their own choices. 

This article is AWESOME! I totally agree with the seat belt laws controlling our freedom. If we choose not to wear a seat belt we should not be penalized at all.

I can not believe that people really place ads on Craigslist pretty much giving away or selling their children like pets. This article shows real ads that were placed to basically get rid of their children just the same as one would sell a dresser. Not only does this actually happen it is LEGAL!

This is just insane. It's unbelievable how something like this can be legal. Kids aren't pets or an object to be selling or giving away in a website. Although, towards the end of the article it does make a valid point, what makes us think that it's right for agencies to profit and make money out of these adoptions?

I didn't know this was real until I met someone that sold their child to a family in Italy. I can't imagine selling my kids. What is even more sad is that these people don't even know if their baby is really being cared for or placed in sex trafficking or the black market for some sickos.

The FBI has exposed itself as a highly corrupted organization by allowing a politician to be above the law. The federal government ought to remove Comey from his position of power as he has said that Hillary should not be charged, although she committed a crime, and was exposed. In other words, he said she is above the law. Which no one person can be above the law in a republic, or a democracy, or any functioning country with laws.

It is not okay for her to get off the hook for the investigation. If other people can't get away with crimes then why can she get away with it. Just like us she is a citizen of the united states so why is should she be treated any different?

The rising suicide rates across the globe are disturbing. Over the past 45 years, the suicide rates have risen by 60%, they have nearly doubled, and are getting worse every year. As of 2016, a person commits suicide every 40 seconds, and the CDC believes that that number will rise to one every 20 seconds by 2020, a disturbing figure. The phenomenon has had little explanation as to cause, however i believe it is the fall in the number of people of faith, or religion. Over the past 50 years, more and more people have lost faith, and crime rates, and suicide rates have skyrocketed. But that is just a theory.

We all are aware and know how scary suicide can be but it is heartbreaking to know that every year the growing rate is rising. We see on the news and on social media that teens are committing suicide but we need to realize that it is not just teens, its all people. The best thing we can do for those who have thought of committing suicide is to be there and listen to them when help is needed.

It's sad to hear about how often suicide happens. I wasn't aware of how bad it actually was. There are many different reasons people decide to take their life away. All we can really do is to try to be there for anyone who needs help and show people that you care. Sometimes it can be from the people we least expect.

You see it all the time, these celebrities commit a crime and get away with it. Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen seem to be the celebrities that keep getting away with it over and over.

However this doesn't pretain to MM Cardholders, MM Cardholders are supposibely recommeded and not prescribed. Just because of this MM cardholders face possible DUI's and/or driver license or Medical Marijuana Cards getting taken away.

Every day the federal government as well as state and local governments pass laws to make us a safer society. As they make our society safer they are slowly eliminating our rights, liberties, and our personal freedoms. Where is the balance? Is a safe nerf ball society worth giving up our freedoms for.

The government wants to regulate abortion, religion, sex, child discipline, marriage, and free speech.They want to control what you can post on the web, what your kids wear to school, where you can walk across the street, what you can watch in titty bars, what you can say at the office, where you can pray, where you can get high, who you have sex with, what kind of sex you have, what jokes you can tell, and when you can spank your children.

The article discusses how easy it is for the government to take things away from you with very little effort. The author also brings up alot of his own personal views on society and how things are ran in america.

Men being victim to domestic violence against another woman, or possibly another man, has been laughed at by society for quite some time. The ability for men to come out and share their abuse stories or get away from an abusive relationship needs to be encouraged more. They don't need to always be tough and "man up", that is a very old fashioned way of thinking, and needs to be reviewed.

This was very upsetting. The video briefly descibes Brianna's death and her killers. Following is an article that says Brianna's killers will not serve their full sentence due to good behavior. Her mother who was one of her killers will be released after serving only 13 of her 27 year sentence. Where is our justice for our innocent lives?

I have a hard time reading about the mistreatment of children. This was difficult to watch and read. I think that the biggest issue here though is that murderers are being released without serving a full or fair sentence simply because they know how to behave well in front of the prison guards.

I too have a difficult time hearing about how mothers, especially mothers, can harm their children. I have children of my own and I don't understand how some one can do that to their child. I hate how Brianna's killers can get away with it, and yes I do think they got away with it because they aren't rooting in jail for the rest of their lives just because they played the part and acted innocent while in jail.
