This website covers some of the 10 reasons that the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women International thinks of why prostitution should not be legalized. Some of the reasons they provide and argue for is that the legalization would promote sex trafficking. They also argue that it would expand the industry instead of controlling the industry of prostitutes. 

I totally agree with this topic, and article. I find it very disturbing to see people sell their bodies, or even "pimps" selling our for their own profit.

This article is about a coalition of Evangelical leaders who made a statement reiterating their disapproval of the LGBTQ community, its members and its sympathizers. The statement, titled the "Nashville Statement," denies the LGBTQ community of being considered "holy" along with its supporters, claiming its immorality. This statement has created an uproar among the LGBTQ community along with its evangelical counterparts, who refuse to agree with such a discriminatory statement.

Many children are in foster care. There is a high volume of children who stay in foster care for a long period of time and sometimes "age out". Aging out is when the minor turns 18years of age and is still in foster care. The social justice issue is that these children have a higer chance of going to orison, human trafficking and pregnancy. We need to do something as a society to help these children achieve something in there life. There are so many children who still get abused in the foster system as well. What needs to be done to prevent this from happening? More home visits to foster homes, better screening, and maybe even just a all around better system.

The grassroots activists from the Self Employed Women's Association spoke to a panel on the informal economy at the ITUC Congress in Berlin. Founded in India out of exploitation of women works from the informal sector, the two million member coalition spoke of their hardships and interaction with their formal sector employers. Through power in numbers SEWA has gained momentum in their fight for workers' rights and pay equality. 40% of the global economy consists of the expanding members of the informal sector.

This website is interesting. I also posted about foster care, which in a sense is homelessness of children due to being unsafe at home. I do a lot of volunteer work with homeless people. For some reason they have a special spot in my heart.

Fighting homelessness is a great cause. Too often, assumptions are made about homeless individuals. Assumptions like: they're addicts, drunks, lazy, and more. Many homeless people suffer from mental illness. Some are veterans, and deserve more from the country they served.

Paris has been through many difficult times and the time to help in never done. Trump has stated multiple times that the time helping is done. The time to help is still now and there needs to be more done.

As the article states, withdrawing from the Paris Accord is a four year process. Hopefully the next election will see a new president and our membership will be re-instated.It was nice to read of coalitions forming to uphold the United State's vowed participation. Unfortunately, it seems that climate change has become "big" business in America and focus has been routed away from scientific facts.

Information about climate change and how it is not only an environmental issue, but a social issue as well. Do the habits of first world countries affect the world and what can we do begin to tackle the issue?
