Responsive Design NOT worth it - 1 views

  •
I don't agree with this article at all. The writer argues that responsive design is not worth the investment and argues that the viewer loses the web experience its used to. I agree with some of his opinions but maintain that responsive design is absolutely worth it. It's always interesting to read differing opinons.

Tinder App Update Helps You Find That Summer Fling - 0 views

  •
The whole internet dating thing seems weird to me, and the latest thing has been bringing it to mobile devices with apps like tinder. Regardless of opinions on online dating....this app is huge right now. Online dating is a huge trend and more and more people are finding partners through it. Maybe online apps is just the next evolution to that.

Why Voice is the Next Big Internet Wave - 0 views

  •
Nice opinion and perhaps a new...ish wave, but what about privacy? Isn't that the fundamental appeal of messaging?
  •
This is cool. And seems on point. The only criticism I have is that this, like many "trendspotting" pieces, makes it sound like all this is coming in the next year or two when things shift much more slowly.

Why Engagement Isn't A Definitive Indicator of Anything - 0 views

  •
A bit..."captain obvious," yet it's an opinion that worth stressing in a climate where engagement is assumed as always the best sign of a consumer/product relationship to a brand.

Is the 2nd Screen Really the 1st Screen for Millennials? - 0 views

  •
the millennials are changing the way people think about watching tv. the big screen is on but we are on another device. even without the big screen we are watching more and more television on mobile devices.
  •
I think the headline of this article is a good way to put it. Is it true? I would say probably so. The article avoids committing to too many opinions - which screen are people really paying attention to? Who knows? It's a legitimate question.
  •
This isn't really what the article was about, but I love branded content stuff like this when it's done thoughtfully: "A recent example is Chipotle, which recently launched an original Hulu series on factory farming to promote their brand beliefs."

Peeling The Onion - 1 views

  •
In a way the onion has promoted receiving real answers to news story by reading their fake interpretations. It's witty and cringe worthy comedy and one of the top read medias by 20 somethings. They also come up with completely random stories that are often an opinion on our culture. The writers actually have to understand the true stories first to come up with the satire. I argue that the onion is great and if a story is just biting enough, I'll go look up the true story it was based off of.

How Advertising Manipulates Your Choices and Spending Habits (and What to Do About It) - 0 views

  •
I had to read past the opinion of this article. (Writer doesn't seem to like advertising much) But I was able to find many truths in it. It talks about the way we now receive ads. Many times without even noticing it. It's on our favorite tv shows, movies, etc. It's also wonderful events that are put on for the community, and then sponsered by "so and so" company. This article does pinpoint just how advertising is everywhere and how it's being shown.

Buzzfeed Is The Future - 0 views

  •
Buzzfeed is huge among 20 somethings. Not a day goes by that I don't see a buzzfeed article on my newsfeed. They know how to reach their target audience. We like gifs, a fair amount of wit, something short and to the point, and something that's opinionated. Buzzfeed has nailed it.
