The Kerpoof website is owned and operated by the Walt Disney Company. What is Kerpoof? The answer to that is not so simple. Kerpoof is all about having fun, discovering things, and being creative. Here are just a few ways that you can use Kerpoof: * Make artwork (even if you aren't good at drawing!) * Make an animated movie (really! it's easy!) * Earn Koins which you can trade for fun things in the Kerpoof Store * Make a printed card, t-shirt, or mug * Tell a story * Make a drawing * Vote on the movies, stories, and drawings that other people have made

Fun little game to learn how to write and identify linear equations. Moves students slowly through development of slope, horizontal and vertical lines. Fun to play.

Contraption game, great for problem solving, logic, and fun! Doesn't address specific core content, but does offer students opportunity to explore, build, and persevere in problem solving situations. Great extra credit link. I think having students build models, share with the class, and make the goal to have lots of different examples to embed in a class wiki would be awesome!

Fun site for creating opportunities for students to write an "article" and create an image of their article.

Between brain-teasers and fun experiments theres something for scholars old and new." Interesting take on organizing some of the many videos available on the internet.

GEOGEBRA: Throughout the notes, you will find many GeoGebra applets.  These are interactive Java applets.  To activate them, just click on them, and wait for the applet to load.  If you're using Internet Explorer, you may have to click on the "Allow ActiveX control" warning bar at the top of your browser, for the applet to load.  I encourage you to download GeoGebra yourself, or use the "Web Start" option, over at http://www.geogebra.org .  It's very easy to use, and a lot of fun!

Click a button below to play our free multi-player and single-player games! In the future we'll add features enabling you to save records, tailor content for differentiated instruction, and pinpoint student problem areas." I think using the games in conjunction with a holistic approach to developing skills would make for a great way of getting students to practices some skills. Let students play, set goals, monitor those goals, reflect on their progress, and apply strategies/heuristics to specific problems they struggle with would create an environment in the classroom where learning was fun, self-monitored, and successful. 

Looking for a great interactive venn diagram activity then look no further. Students can work on their multiples/multiplication/lcm skills in an interactive way. If you have a smartboard then just imagine the fun students can have.

OK, this is a pretty cool game site that is all about teaching and learning. I played the multiplication game longer than I should have and even played with the pet hamster for a while. He runs on that whell a long time. From the website, "All games here were made by Exuberant Games. Each game goes through important information for a certain subject matter for grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. The math games are great if you need to review your math facts for addition, subtraction , or division. Be sure to check out our new games for other subjects.

I think Google Earth is an underutilized tool to use with students. I can imagine all kinds of projects to use it with, and with this spreadsheet applet, it's now incredibly easy to use. If you know of any English teachers teaching Shakespears encourage them to have their students create timelines of events during that period.

I love Google Earth and here is a simple way to create projects about places, create timelines of events, or just have fun remembering a vacation. It's interactive, easy to use, can be educational, what more could you ask for!

Math instructional videos. Most are procedurally oriented, but the site has some promising aspects. There are a lot of resources and it does look fun.

Voxopop talkgroups are like message boards that use voice instead of text.. Used by educators all over the world, they are a fun, engaging and easy-to-use way to help students develop their speaking skills. No longer confined to a physical classroom, teachers and students of oral skills can participate from home, or even from opposite sides of the planet! Anywhere. Anytime. 

Vimeo Video School is a fun place for anyone to learn how to make better videos. Start by browsing our Vimeo Lessons, or find specific video tutorials created by other members.

Fun photo morphing site. 

Great game for helping students understand vectors, forces, mass/acceleration relationships, solar systems. It would take a teacher willing to let students explore some (and maybe have some fun) but very easy to connect vector forces to the activity. 

Creating stories using web tools is fun and engaging for student while also teaching them new skills. Best of all you can embed them in blog posts to grab readers; including something a bit different makes reading posts more interesting.

Nice little set of quizzes that students can take quickly. Helps memorize some of the features and other facts students need to know for unit study. Interactive and fun. I took two of the quizzes and need to work on my great lakes. How well can you do?
