"The Lesson Plan Builder makes it easier for you to develop quality lesson plans that address adult education content standards in the context of CASAS and SCANS competencies." Povides a template, sample lessons, and sharing. Great resource.

"You can listen to all the podcasts for free, but in order to download the worksheets and transcripts (except for the ones on this page) you must become a member." For elementary students. Also has worksheets, webquests, vocabulary exercises, transcripts for members.

Audio and some video titl at these sites are free. I think you might be able to use a desktop recorder like Audacity to record a book to a set of files to take with you, or put on an iPhone. (Avoid the ads at the top of this page--the article is below.)

Loads of math, word, and science games, including some developed by universities for children. You will need to do your own culling and sorting.

This site has added more videos and seems a great way to get additional English pract.

This site has animated libraries of English, German, and Spanish, with animated articulatory diagrams, words in context, etc. Might be more useful for advanced students of phonology and teachers than for students.

This blog has great links to citizenship-related exercises and teacher resources, such as the US Constitution in simple English. Should be an important resource for US teachers of adult ed, as well as teachers of American culture overseas.

A great collection of links to poetry of the ages for all ages. Divided geogrpahically by sources of poetry: Poetry of Africa, Poetry of the Americas, etc., and by specific authors, e.g., Mahmou Dariwsh, Vinicious de Morais, etc. Some bilingual.

Another teacher training site with videos on how-to work in a classroom. A nice one: "Breaking Bad Teaching Habits." Worth a look.
