The article suggests capturing your Prezi with a screen capture tool to create a video. A work-around, but could be useful. I find screen captures are usually pretty fuzzy, however.

From R Byrne: This is the most useful collection of screencasting tools I've seen. Includes both Windows and Mac applications. There are several worth trying and having on your desktop. Show Me What's Wrong, offered by Screencast-O-Matic, might be of particular help: it can be sent to a student having trouble with an application. When he/she opens the mailing, they start recording their screen, audio recording as they explain what they are doing and why they are having a problem. When they close the application it is mailed to you. This list of tools also includes some for capturing iPad and Android device screens, including AirDroid that can mirror your tablet on Mac or Windows computers.

I thought Jing had disappeared, but it seems you can still use it: Capture your computer screen in a basic video; capture animations, and still images; share on the Web. Edit on Screencast.com, also by TechSmith.

SnagIt is a screen capture technology. Here R. Stannard's short video (14 min.) shows 5 was to use SnagIt in the flipped classroom. SnagIt allows you to record the computer screen and the audio as well, so a presentation can use a variety of resources, such as YouTube or a PowerPoint presentation, with your own description, information, questions, etc. NB: This address is Stannard's YouTube channel, which gives access to many other of his videos.

Screen capture and desktop recording tools: considers CamStudio, Active Presenter, BB Flashback, Jing, Screenspresso, and the free trial version of Camtasia Studio. These are useful tools for creating screencasts and presentations (which are really usually two very different functions). Doesn't mention anything mobile.

Interesting article on the value of using screen capture video for feedback on students' written work. Should be added to the arsenal of evaluation.

Snagit is a little older than Jing, but does a couple of interesting additional things, like enhancing the images with stamps, text, and effects. It also is easy to share on social media sites like Facebook.

Another free screencast tool--no downloading. Lots of informative screencasts archived at the site also. Make instructional videos for your students, or engage them in a project to create instructional screencasts for their peers.
