This is a great tool for teachers who develop lesson plans around readings.

This is a pretty cool site, even in its basic version. It will generate a lesson oriented to ELLs, using vocabulary clues, pronunciation, reading comprehension questions, and tie the lesson it creates to Comon Core standards. I pasted in text from a fairly complex academic article, and LessonWriter did a rather good job in these tasks, generating several pages of exercises for students, and also a lesson plan with key to the answers for the teachers. The lesson was printable, savable as pdf, and could be emailed to students or put on a webpage. This would be a great tool for teacher training: student teachers could study the lessons that are generated to see how that work--or don't.

" This seems to be a hany app that allows you to design and record and draw with one app. Available at the iTunes store. So far iPad only, but their site at knowmia.com also gives tips for creating lessons using other tools and storing them at their website.

Created by Paul Adams, this crowd-sourcing site collects lesson plans and activities from teachers and lets other teachers download pdfs and use them. Categorized roughly by themes and grammar structures, there is a lot of helpful cross-referencing. Each lesson has a designated level (intermediate, elementary, etc.) and a brief abstract. Most lessons are for teens/adult learners. It's up to you what pedagogy or approach is going to work with your students. It's free -- add your own lesson!

R. Stannard shows us how to use any video online, and Ted Ed in particular to create and share lessons based on video content. Shows us how to find pre-created lessons on content we want to use, creating lesson questions and discussion, and sharing. Videos are great for listening speaking and forcontent-based language learning, especially has YouTube has a built-in closed captioning system.

An excellent video of the teacher and students using the lesson plan, this lesson from the Teaching Channel walks you through preparation for a writing assignment. It was developed through an EQuIP Peer Review Panel to ensure alignment with the Common Core standards, and was created by teachers and administrators working with the Massachusetts Dept of Elementary and Secondary Ed Model Curriculum Project. It uses a "Smart Chart" to deepen student understanding of rhetorical devices and has students collaborate in a ranking activity. Has links to a place where you can submit your own lessons for a free EQuIP panel review, and links to other related lesson plans.

"Have students create a Pinterest board with 10 pins that summarizes them. Ask students to create a 30 second podcast that introduces themselves. Then allow students to present them or play them on separate devices as an audio gallery. Create a classroom blog and ask each student to write a blog post introducing themselves to the rest of the classroom. Have students create a quick comic strip to describe themselves or to recreate a recent funny moment in their lives. Use PollEverywhere to ask students interesting questions and get to know them as a class, like their favorite subjects, bands or TV shows. Ask students to create their own Voki avatars that introduce themselves to the class. Encourage them to be creative with the backgrounds, characters and details of the avatar to reflect their own personalities and preferences. Have students create graffiti online that speaks to their interests and personalities and share with the class." A nice set of ready-made lessons using readily available apps on the computer.

The video not only lists the tips, it contains examples of using these tips to teach art history and art appreciation lessons to students." Most of the great art museums and natural history museums of the world have websites with instructional materials of very high quality. It's worth some time to explore what they offer and figure out how to adapt their resources for your classes. One of the other excellent resources on MoMA Learning is this glossary of art terms. In many cases the definitions in the glossary contain links to multiple examples of each term. You can create your own lessons for flipped classes, or select from the many lessons already created. Great content-based study. For mature secondary or adult learners.

The site includes 25 videos lesson examples in each of four core subject areas - math, science, language arts, and social studies. These lessons were videotaped in classrooms across Florida. "The Technology Integration Matrix (TIM) illustrates how teachers can use technology to enhance learning for K-12 students. TIM is easily accessbile and recommends you look at grade levels beyond your own for ideas.

This 25 min. video tutorial shows how to set up your flipped classroom and use iMovie to create polished lectures for your lessons. Your adult or young learners may also use the information to create their own presentations or peer-teaching lessons.

A great lesson plan for writing collaboratively. Students extract memento and write them on large cards/pieces of paper. They then create the poem by placing the cards on the floor or table. The teacher (or students) select a topic that the quotations should reflect. It makes students thing about the real meanings within the text. Students discuss their found quotations as they write them. The 5 min. video shows students discussing and coming to realizations as they collect and collaborate. Great speaking, writing, reading activity.
