In my understanding, the processes involved in generating one overarching vision and many diverse visions are different (although similar and in no way mutually exclusive). We may work on one image, just to show that a good future is truly possible. Or we may create multiple visions to open a space of possibility that may have juice for diverse people, projects or perspectives. Community organisations are increasingly agents of the state, and no longer radical champions of social justice. Ruth Townsley, Voice and Impact manager, questions whether community organisations are losing their critical voice.
