"Last night on the Free Technology for Teacher Facebook page I posted a set of resources for art lesson plans. That post reminded me of a couple of sources of free art history books that together offer nearly 700 books."

Creative Web Tools For and By Kids is a project designed for students, ages 9 to 14, to use emerging technologies for engaging, thinking, learning, collaborating, creating, and innovating. The focus is on the use of free, open-source, or minimal cost tools, so the project can be replicated. An underlying goal is to demonstrate how advanced technological applications for enhancing learning can be implemented with only a computer and Internet access.

Free is my favorite price! There are many different ways to score free e-books for iPads. Some books that have a charge in the iBookstore are available for free elsewhere, so check out the sites below before purchasing anything. Chances are the e-books you want to read are also available to borrow at the local library. Simply download the Overdrive Media Console App, register your library card, and start borrowing! "Flickr is a great image hosting website that you can use to store and share your images. Flickr is also a powerful image search engine where you can find images others have posted. As a teacher, you can probably use this platform with your students to look for pictures to include in classroom projects. However, not all pictures are free to use and as we have mentioned in our Copyright Section here in Educational Technology and Mobile Learning, there are certain conditions under which you are allowed to re-use people's images but only for non commercial purposes, these conditions are mostly included under a Creative Commons License."
