      "how to" video tutorials are an important element in most information literacy sessions and classes. The beauty of CLIP is that the videos are un-branded and are genericl enough that they can be used by any library or institution. The video library gives me a lot of options for my class.

      This resource is great because almost all students need to learn about search strategy but they tend to find the concepts BORING. This video is really engaging and fun. It pulls the viewer in from the very beginning.

    I will use this website to support my graphing module. I will use it to provide both visuals and hands-on simulations. The instructor will provide the visuals with directions. The students will then get to attempt the problems on their own. This website will provide students with the practice they need.

  • In life, as taught in this course, we must: Reflect, Connect, Organize, Build, Refine, Implement, and Evolve. These are not only the titles of our modules this semester, but a guide to success. If we fail to use these seven principals, we will never be the best educators possible and will have mediocre learning environments, and non engaged students.  Stay one step (or several for that matter) ahead of your students.       I see this as critical and that is why I have 1 week modules for my course where the students have more opportunity to - iterative opportunities - to practice and receive feedback on our core concept of analysis of works of art. Smaller chunks and tighter feedback loops have made it possible to create many ways for students to succeed, rather than have them struggle for longer periods of time on the same thing over and over again.
