Selecting for not having a tag - 55 views

Is it possible to select bookmarks based them not having a particular tag. I'm looking to do a major clean up of all my bookmarks (standardizing tag conventions, deleting out-of-date bookmarks, etc.). I thought I could have a tag that I add to each bookmark I process and then filter for bookmarks that don't have this tag to start a cleanup session.

I don't seem to be able to add any book marks because the recommended tags never load. Any idea what's going on or how long it's going to be a problem?

I'm having this problem on two different systems. Both XP both using FF 3.0.1.

Just for the heck of it I tried to upgrade using the FF Ad-ons list and it worked fine. Seems like there's only a problem when updating through the automatic system that runs when FF is started up.

Please make it possible to edit bookmarks from more locations. For example, there's no way to change the list a bookmark is on when you are viewing it in a list. So you go out to the main bookmark listing and search for the bookmark in question. It comes up in the search results but there's no way to edit it there either. This is a crucial feature. Thanks!

If you save a bookmark to a private list is it automatically private, or does the bookmark need to explicitly made private on it's own?

Importing bookmarks -- how long should it take? - 121 views

bookmarks duration import

I saw that some delay in importing bookmarks via HTML is to be expected but I was wondering what was the typical delay. I sent in the request about 24 hours ago. Did something go wrong and should I resubmit it, or is this not unusual?

    Thanks!

I put in the request Friday afternoon and the bookmarks still haven't shown up on my list. Should I resubmit?

Thanks Oliver. What would be a more typical wait time?

Well I only have 47 items. I've tried twice now, once Friday and once this afternoon and none have shown up yet.

I tried a third time last night at home. Is there anywhere here to officially report a problem? I don't seem to be attracting the attention of the site admins on this forum.

    Thanks for your help Oliver.

    I'm using FF 3.0.

You right about trying to import using the web interface and HTML, and I actually like the tool bar. The only problem is the import function toolbar only seems to be set up to import browser bookmarks. I'm just trying to bring in about 50 bookmarks I have in del.icio.us as a test run before I bring in about 500 from my browser.
