how about an option to keep diigolet active so I don't have to invoke it every time I move to a new page?

not only that, (an old idea) an option to keep last-entered tags as default for next page tagged! that would save typing (and my memory) enormously!

    keep tinkering!

Send me an email at info at diigo dot com - I have a test script that you may wish to try.

Probably not a good idea. Most users bookmark different pages on different subjects. To enable this will cause more inconvenience for other users with different bookmarking usage pattern.

    @ Maggie

Please, did that script lead to anything?

(I posted An omnipresent Diigolet, or something like it in December 2008, then stumbled across this 2007 topic whilst answering Diigolet toolbar won't stay put.)

    I imagine performance implications, but I thought I'd ask…

I personally do not like the "always-on" appearance. If this does not get fixed soon, I'll have to fiddle with the code ;-)

Looks like we're still waiting for a solution!

A diigolet toolbar that disappears all the time is a pain. Surely 'always on' versus 'always disappears' aren't the only options? How about 'stays on until I click off'?

Experimenting with the Diigolet-oriented script for Greasemonkey installed to GreaseKit.

A long list of exclusions may apply.

Exclusions can not prevent Diigolet 4.0b14 from appearing within the preview frame of Diigo Meta. Whether this will be a problem, I'm not sure.

Nice! nice to see all these user contributed extras =)

Allways visible diigolet: how about just a simple frame version? Like diigo meta view?

Testing userscript... it's always the same problem: Diigolet does not work on all pages (eg.: frames, flash, sometimes with videos, at flickr, or when css z-index layer is too high)

Maybe it would help if we created a list of all places it does not work(?)

    BTW, who is rickfan?

I thought about that, but (for myself) did not bother. A maintenance chore.

For me, the time that I might spend on maintaining a list of negatives is
better spent on simply using Diigo — on demand.

Diigolet first in the bookmarks bar of Safari, accelerated by keying
    command-1
