Diigo is fantastic, but I wish Diigo could automatically "bookmark" (import rss feeds) my latest shared items from Google Reader, favorite YouTube videos, StumbleUpon items, etc. Then I wouldn't need FriendFeed and I would benefit from being able to tag and share those items just like I can with my regular Diigo bookmarks!

Down the road, it would be cool to have automatic semantic tagging of the bookmarked/imported content like Twine.com.

    Hi Matthew,
Thanks for your suggestion. We are evaluating it .

Oh, i love this idea too! Please think about doing this!

Could not agree more Matthew. I think this would be a killer feature for any bookmark service...

that said, I would hope that this functionality might be limited to a "pro" account. Spammers would have a field day with this easy method to dump links into a service like Diigo.

    Diigo feeding from Twitter

As a tweet has no subject, an import from Twitter favourites RSS is inevitably dull:
    http://www.diigo.com/user/grahamperrin/Diigo%20587234%20sandpit (referred from http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/content/587234#5).

I wonder whether the entire (limited) text of a tweet could form the title of a bookmark …

How about only automatically bookmark the shared link in the twitter favorites?
  • Graham Perrin

Automatically bookmark the Twitter page that's titled
    Twitter / Your Favorites ?

Sounds good to me, but better to get feedback from people who use the service more. I tweet rarely.

Joel, that would be interesting. I am not a huge user of favorites, but I do read a lot of links each day. I think I could change my habits to use favorites as a way to save bookmarks though.
