    I'm learning more about global warming right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is: How to stop global warming? I was researching this question online, and this blog post caught my attention because this blog post tells you what you need to know about global warming to know how to prevent it from continuing. This post tells you what global warming is and the causes of global warming. This post is helpful and informational. "Most modern attention to the problem of global warming began with discussion of depletion of the Earth's Ozone layer. Ozone (O3) is a molecular form of Oxygen. The Ozone layer is a relatively thin strata of these molecules set in the lower portion of the Earth's stratosphere. Depletion of the Earth's Ozone layer has resulted in a large increase in Ultra Violet Radiation reaching the surface of the earth. Does this increase in UV rays equate to global warming? Not really. In fact most scientific opinion is that depletion of the Ozone layer results in cooling of both the stratosphere and troposphere. So why mention depletion of the Ozone layer as regards to global warming? Because it represents a needed balance between harmful radiation being allowed to reach the earth's surface and our desire to stem the rapid increase in our air and water temperature. Remember, we are viewing global warming as a chain of events." The quote I chose here is basically saying that people think the reduction of the Earth's Ozone layer is one cause of global warming. Ozone is a molecular form of Oxygen. The reduction of the Earth's Ozone layer resulted in an increase in Ultra Violet Radiation appearing on earth. I think global warming is a very important issue because global warming happens on earth and thats where we live. Global warming is not a positive issue but a negative one so I think we all should work together to find a solution to this problem if we want to save the place where we live on.

    I am learning more about global warming right now, and in particular what I'm wonder about is what caused global warming? I was researching this question online, and this blog post caught my attention because it is about global warming and I know that emissions no longer cause global warming by reading this blog post. "According to the survey, roughly a third of the people who believe in global warming think it is due to natural causes, rather than manmade causes such as industrial emissions. As a result, the number who say that global warming is caused by humans has dropped from 54 percent last summer to 45 percent now." The quote I chose here is basically saying that global warming is causing by natural causes but I don't think so. I think people cause global warming too. They kill trees and pour waste water into ocean and rivers. I think this is impressed because it makes me wonder will the percentage of global warming and pollution be higher next year?

    I'm learning more about how global warming is causing a food crisis all over the world right now and in particular what I'm wondering about is: what is going to happen if nothing is done? I was researching this question online and this article caught my attention because it describes what might happen in the future by providing statistics and evidence. \n\n"In Italy, maize yields fell 36% in 2003, compared with the previous year, and in France they fell 30%. We can also see that it has greatly affected us in the past as well.     "With these frightening predictions in mind, we need to try to heat-proof our agriculture. That can be accomplished by using crops that have proved resistant to extreme heat - like sorghum or millet - to breed hybrid-crop varieties that are more capable of withstanding higher temperatures. We'll need to drop any squeamishness about consuming genetically modified crops. Unless we can tap the power of genetics, we'll never feed ourselves in a warmer world. But we'll need to act quickly. It can take years to breed more heat-resistant species, and investment in agricultural research has shriveled in recent years." This is a great way to get ideas going to test what can work and what won't work in these tough times. We have to figure out ways to continue growing crops through these harsh and terrible weather conditions. We have to be smart and conduct new ways. We need this. Really badly.     I'm learning more about "food security" right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is: what really caused this problem. I was researching this question online, and this article, "Why Globing Warming Portends a Food Crisis" caught my attention because it made me realize the connection between two big global issues. The quote I chose here is basically saying as the temperatures on this planet becomes higher and higher, more and more food is going to be damaged. I think this is really serious because we all would die without food. It makes me wonder what would happen if the temperatures keep going up and causing more serious food security issue. I was researching this question online, and this blog post caught my attention because many things are changing around the world. Disasters like hurricanes grow stronger and other things like drought become longer and deadlier. Few challenges facing America-and the world-are more urgent than combating climate change. The science is beyond dispute and the facts are clear. Sea levels are rising. Coastlines are shrinking. We've seen record drought, spreading famine, and storms that are growing stronger with each passing hurricane season. The quote here is basically saying that our continents are sinking into the sea or is getting swallowed by the sea. Things like hurricanes grow stronger from this and other disasters also grow deadlier. I think this is scary because one year your house might be right next to the coast line and the next year, right when you step out of your backyard, your stepping on ocean water.     I'm more about my topic, global warming, right now and in particular what I'm wondering about is what might happen nest. I researching this question online, and this blog post caught my attention because it talked about how earth was described as a sea of all water. There was no land when god had created earth. Bible scholars who recognize this destruction of the original earth, as being a flood, have found reference to a catastrophic flood mentioned in the scriptures that do not match Noah's flood, as described in Genesis chapter 8, which receded off of the earth slowly. This earlier flood and/or destruction of the earth, is also believed to be referred-to in the following scriptures. The quote I chose here is basically saying that god created earth with all water at first. This however is not related to Noah's ark. I think this might be true because water is most dominant on earth and is covers a lot more land than dry land. Some new thoughts that i have is can this be true, because if this really happened, maybe the origin of humans may have started in the ocean that we live next to.

  • In my work at the Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources Policy Analysis Network (FANRPAN), one of my responsibilities is to help smallholder farmers adapt and create climate-resilient farming methods. Such knowledge exists but often fails to reach Africa's vast rural populations.

    I'm learning more about food security right now and in particular what I'm wondering about is how the next generation will take over to fight the challenge. I was researching this question online and this article caught my attention because it was written by a 24 year old woman who has worked in the field all her life. She grew up in Zimbabwe and she used to watch her grandmother work long exhausting days as a child and even now. Because of her grandmother, she wants to make a difference as she attempts to get her generation more active in facing world problems.\n\n"Whilst young people may not yet have the power to drive policies, we will be the ones who must accept the big challenges of the future which are as yet unresolved: from population to climate change to market reform and the end of poverty."\n\nThe quote I chose here is basically saying that she is calling out to the younger generation for help. Even though we don't have as much power as many others, we still have the power to try. It's up to us to contribute to changing the world.\n\nI think this is strong and hopefully it will motivate the younger generation to volunteer more and acknowledge these world issues. It makes me wonder what will happen in the future when it comes to youth involvement in the world. Will youth voices slowly disappear? Will anyone care anymore?

It's too bad that these type of things happen in other parts of the world. I feel so spoiled and bad compared to these people. I was researching this question online, and this news item caught my attention because, all the changes that they are talking about is going to affect them in the long run and if they don't something about it now then it would be harder to fix later. The title of the news article is Fighting For Africa's Food Security. Something that i saw in the summary was that they are trying to fix the problem with Africa and they are trying to make a better way to get the young generation involved since they are not involved at all. I think this is a strog description because, if peoplee don't worry the sudden changes now how are they going to fix them later. Staten island has the smallest percentage due to how small the island is.Either way the rates of hunger have increased drastically.

I was researching this question online, and this news article, "Queens sees huge surge in demand for emergency meals and food" caught my attention because it explains what I'm wondering. The quote I chose here is basically saying that as the economy goes down, those who always donate clothes and other food supplies stopping donating because they cannot afford to. This is one of the biggest reason that food crisis in queens is becoming more serious. I think this is very sad because it makes me wonder how many people in our city right now don't have food to eat and can barely survive. I'm now recalling how much food that I have wasted since I was born. I believe that if I had saved all that amount of food, I would have saved a lot of people. Therefore, from now on I will try my best not to waste any food and join those who donate food to poor people.

The economy affected the rate of food security, because a lot of adults lost their jobs and now they cant afford to put food on the table. I think this is shocking because so many people lost their jobs in the last two years with the economic crisis that now, thousands of children and families are suffering. It makes me wonder how many people are suffering from hunger not only in the US or Africa, but the whole world. I found out that India is going through some food crisis and that many children are dying from hunger. I don't think this is an issue not many people think about. That's what makes me think.

    I'm learning about the earth right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is why is earth important to us? I was researching this question Online, and this Google news caught my attention because as we all know that earth is something that we need to take care of. As we know that supposely we are the ones that we are destroying the world with this whole smoke thing. I strongly believe that we need to take care of our world and protect it from danger things. In other words we are suppose to save the world. Cause it's said we are the ones that we destroy this world.       This is important because this is the main reason why people drink ACV. Despite it's vile smell and digusting taste, people drink it because it's really healthy.

      Bascially, you cannot drink this straight from the cup. You have to dilute it because the vinegar is really strong. If you don't dilute it with another liquid, the vinegar would burn your mouth and esophagus.

      ACV is a cure for many things. Not only is it a great supplement to take, it can also be a facewash to clear poor complexion.

      In the bottle, there are cob web like substance floating around.I'm not sure what this "mother nature" is. I just assume it's parts of the apple that was grinded.
