Sourav RC on 18 May 11First of all it should be cleared that food allergy is not food intolerance. In other words, we can say that there's a difference between food allergy and food intolerance. Often people get confused and think that food allergy and food intolerance- both are the same thing. But they actually are not. Food allergy is associated with the immune system. When your immune system reacts abnormally to certain food or foods that causes inflammation of body tissues, is called food allergy. Food intolerance, on the other hand, has nothing to do with the immune system. Food tolerance occurs because of digestive or metabolism problems and often because of the enzyme deficiency.
