This article showcases a great new tool which will can be used as a creative way to teach, share, and create information. Jux allows students to briefly outline an idea or theme, connect those words with pictures, and display the words concurrently with a slideshow, photos, videos etc.It allows students the creative latitude to design their own presentation and also match up concepts with an audio and visual system.

PicLits is a great creative writing site that provides attention-grabbing images and word banks to use to write a caption for the picture or to write a short paragraph. Word lists are categorized by nouns, adjectives, adverbs, verbs, and a universal list. Users can comment on others' work and rate work using the star rating feature. All work is public.

Create awesome animated maps. Have your students create a roadmap of places they have been. Have students add video and pictures of those places and create a timeline on how long it took for the trip.

Find information, cite your sources, and add pictures without ever really leaving your document. Great tool for teachers who want to make researching easier for students.

This is the new technology. Although as a sixth grade teacher I would envy the kindergarten teacher who has this technology, my 3 year old grandson can use the apps on my iphone. He knows which pictures to press and has learned a lot of information from the apps. It is the new Sesame Street as it keeps his attention and talks to him. As a tool it is differentiated education for each child.
