I don't think that anybody would buy the concept of being brought closer to your government, and as far as economic recovery, I think that splitting into six California's would really hurt some regions rather than help the overall California population. That said, Nor Cal by far keeps it the most real.
I think this is good evidence that our future will consist purely of electronics. I wouldn't be surprised if the entire world is virtual: oxygen, grass, pets, food, etc. Babies using iPads is just the start. Soon babies will be wearing google glasses and they too will start to see the world virtually. I'm afraid since these babies seem to be in sheer enjoyment as they play with these electronics, that there is no hope in reversing the completely electronic/virtual fate of our world. All I can say is I hope they make 3D TV better.
http://redwoodbark.org/video/ I really think putting all these teams side by side was a cool, entertaining idea. It would be cool to see this format adapted to the teams here at Tam #butredwoodsucks #t-high #video #bark
I really like the idea of that mini profile on the skater. I think instead of writing stories of students with cool hobbies we could film them in action. I also love the ideas of profiling entire teams with interviews from both players and coaches mixed with a little game footage. Redwood has good ideas here. I think we should steal some of them and make them better
I think that the changes to the Redwood dance could be necessary. I have heard crazy stories of students getting way too drunk and girls stripping practically naked. I think that in order to have the reputation of the dance changed, these policies are necessary. Making the Tam dance semi formal is trying to do the same thing, but as far as I have heard it is turning many kids away from even attending.
I hate reading stuff like this. Revenge Porn? Jesus Christ c'mon society that is just sick. However, I think that the real lesson here is that one shouldn't send any nude pics in the first place. Snapchat can be pretty fun and score some major laughs. I don't think the problem is as much the app as it is the teens sending dirty pics.
This is very sad. I have a strong feeling that if 14 year old girl was having relations with an 18 year old boy, there would be no problem. This thing happens ALL THE TIME. The fact that this 18 year old girl's life may be ruined because of another frustrated, homophobic father is sickening. I think that the 18 year old girl does not deserve any prosecution whatsoever. As far as the petition, I think that it will help point out to both the father who is pressing charges and the judge that the father is not mad because of the age difference, but because of the homosexuality factor.
This article is very surprising to me. It shows that a lot of society likes to exaggerate the negative effects of this drug. It is a nice sigh of relief for me to see an ADHD patient coming out and writing what he believes to be the truth, that the drugs bad sides are only revealed if taking the pill is abused badly. However, if more articles like these were published, I could definitely see Adderall and Ritalin being used on an every day basis for high schoolers, which is something that could expose the actual bad sides of the drugs.
Hey at least these moms are creating jobs for the disabled! But actually I could totally see this happening in Mill Valley along with our kitty spa or whatever. Anyways if this mother really thinks she is doing her kids a favor by avoiding all lines at all cost, I think she is deeply mistaken. These are the type of kids that are going to have a tough time when they realize that everything in life isn't going to go their way. I believe that if you are going to cut lines, do it the old fashion way and just slip in the front when someone isn't looking.
OMG! WTH is right. This article plus the one about the poisoned yogurt at the school is making me think that China isn't the great powerful country I had once believed them to be. Why is sex education and protected sex lacking in such a developed country? On the other hand, the fact that the baby received many offers to be adopted and was brought many gifts restores my faith in humanity that I lost from the first half of the article.
I believe that photo essays capture an audience's attention like no article can. If the Tam News did a photo essay featuring students, I think people would connect easily and definitely pay some good attention to the material. This gets me thinking about photo essays that we could do,something like People you Meet if you Eat Lunch on Campus.
Question: why would the grandmother of these kids pick up some random yogurt/notebooks she found on the street. Doesn't seem like such a great idea. However on a serious note, this is quite alarming. It really gets me wondering about the type of environment they have there in China. I guess this competitive spirit is what makes China so damn powerful, but this makes me think that this spirit has been taken too far.
Reading this article, I was pretty shocked at the gruesome things Ivy league nerds do to be less nerdy. But I think it makes sense that these men would do this. It reflects how guys in our society have the desperate need to constantly show off their masculinity. Many of these frat rushers at Dartmouth have been used to succeeding in everything their entire life, and they are not about to fail at being manly/cool/hardcore. I am so glad this article was released because now these vomit slip-n-slide festivities won't be required just so you can belong to a close group of bros.
