The Redwood Bark has a lot of cool videos on their website. I really like the diving team one and I think it would be cool if we could do something similar with our sports teams here at Tam. What do you guys think of their videos?

I think something we could do in the future would be short Hawk Talks in video form - I think they would get a lot of viewership and be an easy way to create relevant video content. The Rally video that the Bark has on their website is a little like what this could be - though ours would be better, of course... The diving and Marine Mammal centers were interesting as well.

I think that this is a really cool feature they have on their website. I know a lot of people don't really visit the Tam News website that often, so this could be a good way to get more viewers. It's a very easy thing, and could be updated constantly depending on different issues and views of students. I think this could also be a cool idea for crackin and slackin, to get other kids opinions on what sort of things should be in each category. That will definitely attract a ton of viewers because that's a very popular part of the magazine.

I agree with all y'all in that these are super rad and we should definitely look into maybe trying out a couple vids. I particularly enjoy how the videos cover a wide range of topics (diving, student profiles, chemistry class, marine mammal centre) because not only do the videos then appeal to a broader demographic of student interests, but then you get more students involved (if you include someone in a video and / or article then they will look at it as well as their close friends and maybe parents or something).

as for current videos at tam, the publicity committee of leadership has been working on getting up monthly videos about upcoming events, etc but the problems that have been presented with that have been planning, time management, keeping them interesting, and getting them done on time so I think that if we had videos more like visual articles instead of announcement-y stuff that would be more beneficial fsho. also we need to makes sure that if we're going to try a few videos, that people stay committed to a project once they've signed up for it to make sure it actually turns into a final product.

This is very cool and we really need a section on the site like this because we are coming out with a lot more videos, and when we get more cameras we can cover even more topics like the bark.

I agree with what many people have said above. I think something like this would be very beneficial to the Tam News and would attract more viewers of the site and readers of the magazine. I know that people enjoy watching the video announcements that leadership has done, and leadership benefitted from the publicity and getting the word out to the students.

I really like the idea of that mini profile on the skater. I think instead of writing stories of students with cool hobbies we could film them in action. I also love the ideas of profiling entire teams with interviews from both players and coaches mixed with a little game footage. Redwood has good ideas here. I think we should steal some of them and make them better
