the media is going to portray it in what ever light progresses the current political propaganda our government wants to project. No media outlet is unbiased that is viewed on a national stage. I am not saying there is no sympathy from these organizations, but there's always a broader angle that is trying to be portrayed. The tornado that has struck Oklahoma is devastating, but its just another event the media can capitalize on.

FBI ran child porn site for two weeks in attempt to identify over 5,000 pedophiles - 32 views

This is quite disturbing to know the FBI has actively facilitated the sharing of child pornography. regardless of it being ethical (which it is not) it is deceitful. The logic behind the scheme is justifiable in theory, but in reality the FBI is distributing child porn, which brings up the question of where its coming from in the first place, and in my opinion that question is more important than who's watching. The FBI should actively be trying to prevent child porn rather than facilitating it.

I did not participate in BTB this year for multiple reasons, one of which was I simply did not want to deal with the increased security (but as it turns out their efforts were futile). I have gone the past two years and I did not feel the need to go a third, but I now regret my decision because of the laxity of the event. from what my peers have discussed about this years marathon, there was as much debauchery this year as there is every year, and its something I look forward to participating in next year.

I don't find her junkie/unstable behavior sad in the least. Its the classic child star dilemma. Either you hit it big as a child and capitalize on that for the rest of your life, or you become a complete train wreck. What lead to her derailment was the us of narcotics and other prescription drugs, which she claims she never used (but dont they all say that?). for the record I can sympathize with her fucked up situation but on the other hand, get it together gurl.

Drug Agency Lowers Age for Next-Day Birth Control - 8 views

I certainly agree that younger girls (ages 15 and up) should have access to birth control without a prescription. I feel this way for many reasons, one is that with today's current culture of teens, they are experimenting sexually at younger and younger ages and I believe it is justifiable to provide the proper protection for unwanted pregnancy's to females of a younger age who happen to make an honest mistake....or worse.

Are Doctors Prejudiced Against Overweight People? - 21 views

I certainly feel that people in general do treat obese people differently than people of an avg weight. I do not condone these perceptions but believe they have to do with our cultures obsession with beauty and perfection. it is a scary thought to think your doctor would treat a person of avg weight with more empathy and care than that of a fat person.

I think the new rules will make the event very regulated and strict. although in past years the rules have never been enforced and everyone is able to enjoy themselves, though this year I feel will be different and the vibe wont be as joyous as it has been in the past.

New Mexican President limits US role on fighting cartels - 3 views

I agree that drug legalization would halt the cartels momentum but in turn cause more severe problems, such as younger and younger youths trying harder and harder drugs. The more readily available they are and more apparent they become in our society the temptation for them only increases. Back to the main point though, I don't feel that Mexico's new regulations will really change anything regarding the U.S. and Cartel relations.

I believe the topic does qualify to be published because it shines light on things that people would not normally know about. the fact that some "hipster" parents are boycotting the use of diapers intrigues me. The Tam News could use this as an example to investigate things of a more obscure nature.

This article was a big reality check for me, I would not of thought that in this day and age segregated proms still exist and are excepted as "normal". I am shocked that it has taken this long for the school to consider making prom unsegregated

I think that it is just mental to have high school teahcers wilding fire arms. students could easily sneak up on the teacher and take the gun and then raise some chaos. I am not for this law.
