美国的大学是名副其实的倒过来的金字塔。很多与教授切身相关的权力不在金字塔的顶部，而在底部。比如说晋职，真正做决定的是系里的教授大会，而不是校领导。校领导本身也是由教授们推选出来，他们的言行也要有理有据有板有眼。一个院系的经费如何使用，聘什么人，做什么事也是由院长系头在听取教授们意见之后定夺。公立大学里经费的使用，教授的薪资，大到上千万，小到一美金，都像空气一样透明。听说有些系，为了追求公平，系头由系里教授们轮流做。比起金融界这样琢磨不透的独立王国，美国的大学算是非常的清廉有序。

我突然发现一个有趣的对比：性在透明状态是脏的，而政治在不透明状态是脏的。

倒过来的金字塔也非常地助长批判精神：
