A very flexible Project Management system. Podio allows you to add your projects and include individual deliverables, tasks, deadlines, Project Manager's, and comment on projects as they are completed. It also allows you to chat with other team members and provide access to clients so they can always see the progress of the project. Google Docs and other collaborative services can also be connected.

I recently attended a two-day ASTD certificate course she did in conjunction with the TechKnowledge conference in Las Vegas. It was informative and she has a unique approach that really presented some of the concepts in a straight-forward manner/ Of course, in two days you can only dig so deep but I would recommend the course for those new to project management.

Although our class has already discussed MS Project, I didn't notice it on our resource list here. It is a great addition to MS Products, such as SharePoint. Teams can manage their parts of projects in SharePoint and add their smaller tasks as needed. Unfortunately it is still something feared and underused. This site has 3 prerecorded webinars on Project Management that address the building blocks, practical examples and applying PM principles to your workplace. Although geared toward library application, the PM skills addressed can be adapted and serve as a good refresher, introduction to or continuing education. This site is hosted by the Colorado Dept of Education and the Colorado State Library, which lends reliability to the content. The webinars are FREE and always accessible, and you can download the slides in Powerpoint or as a handout, which is great for note taking.

I love using Articulate Suite! Their blog posts are great and I thought his organizational article was informative.

This is a web based project management tool that functions similarly to Smartsheet. There are a lot of bells and whistles, and it seems to be priced affordably starting at $20 a month. You can then pick and choose add on features for nominal pricing - choosing what you want and not having to pay for features you may not use. Managers can list milestones, tasks, subtasks, generate Gantt charts and resource charts, communicate using wikis, chats and forums and collaborate with others synchronously or asynchronously. Another neat feature is this cloud hosted technology integrates with Googledocs, Google calendar and gmail. This tool seems intuitive and offers many features worthy of looking into.

This looks like a great resource/site. Like you said, there are several interesting looking e-learning topics that are worth checking out. The "Top 10" you mention is a funny, but informative article - i especially liked number 10, which is "Forgetting to thank me when I help you out" :) I also noticed there is a workshop available for this topic, although pricey - if you have the money to burn it could be worth it! I had looked at this too. It seems that most PM software ends up having to be paid for. I guess making it free ties to the idea if taking money off the table and using a collaborative organizational model :)

Wow, it is hard to believe how many different methodologies there are out there! This one seems really different. I can see how it would be suited for some types of projects, like those with a tangible end product, but I wonder how well it would work with eLearning?

In research and and evaluation these checklists can be incredibly useful. It may be a stretch to apply them to project mgmt for instructional design but there are many links to proposal development that are thought provoking.
