Accenture rolled out version two of its Accenture Foundation Platform for Oracle (AFPO), a software tool which accelerates the process of integrating and developing solutions on Oracle Fusion Middleware.

The November edition of TechTarget included an article discussing Oracle Fusion Middleware (OFM). The article notes that OFM spans multiple services such as integration services, business intelligence, collaboration, content management, and Java EE and developer tools. Of note, the article highlights Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's (ERAU) OFM implementation. The article includes comment from Cindy Bixler, CIO, ERAU, who notes that OFM integrated applications across the university's three campuses for single sign-on - something that would have been almost impossible to achieve without Oracle.

Highlighting Oracle Public Cloud, a set of integrated services that provide access to Oracle Fusion Applications, Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle Database. The article notes that Oracle Public Cloud technologies are portable and built on open standards, so organizations with existing Java and Oracle Database applications will be able to migrate them to the Oracle Public Cloud without rewriting them.
