Von Maur department stores has rolled out the Oracle Retail Merchandising System suite of applications to support same-store revenue growth, as well as expansion into new markets. With the Oracle Retail system supporting its e-commerce site and 26 stores, the retailer is able to respond more quickly to customer demand, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and increase sales by having the right products in the right location. "At Von Maur, it's about providing our customer with the best service possible, while simultaneously offering a unique mix of products," said Joy Place, vice president of merchandising for Von Maur.

Kohl's Department Stores, the value-oriented speciality department store, has selected Oracle Retail Merchandising, Planning and Supply Chain solutions.

Our basic stock percentage has come down by 20 percent since we've installed it, so it's allowed us to turn those goods faster and just be more efficient."…

Kohl's previously announced that it will relaunch Kohls.com on an e-commerce platform from Oracle Corp. this summer. It will also test a mobile payment acceptance technology in stores later this year. In 2012, Kohl's generated $1.43 billion in sales on the web, up 41.6% from $1.01 billion in 2011. It is No. 28 in Internet Retailer's Top 500 Guide. "We have made significant investments in our IT and omnichannel initiatives to ensure we have the platforms, technology and tools to allow customers to shop when they want and from where they want," Mansell says.

The department store retailer will use Oracle Retail Merchandising, Planning and Supply Chain solutions to help it more effectively manage and execute processes including purchasing, distribution and financials

The implementation of Oracle Retail is part of a larger company-wide initiative in which Belk is revamping or replacing core processes and operations supporting its e-commerce site and 304 stores in 16 Southern states
