Auralia is a comprehensive LMS of 43 topics for ages beginners to advanced in music aural theory. Instruction and testing is sequential and logical with a nonthreatening, easy to use interface. The student and/or educator set the pace of learning. Feedback is formative and immediate with questions that keep the student focused on the concept and aware of progress. Learning reinforced through repeated emphasis on hearing, seeing and notating the aural theory concept, e.g., intervals, chords, progressions.

This website has many piano/keyboard resources that can be printed. It has great, colorful visuals for students to use that are decently explanatory on their own.

This website provides many resources pertaining to teaching piano. There are games, worksheets, improv help, and ear training resources to help teachers and students.

This website offers a wide variety of music titles to be used in a choral, general music, or individual lessons classroom. Although many of the scores need to be paid for, there are many free ones available as well.

The American String Teachers Association is filled with helpful resources for string teachers specifically. The "teaching resources" page includes tips for working on string specific content such as bowing technique and left and right hand position.

A great website for step-by-step theory instruction, exercises, and quizzes. This website would be great to offering out-of-class instruction or assistance to students who may need extra help. The instruction is organized by concepts (ex. key signatures, chords, etc) and gives helpful tips and tricks to understand the concept being taught.

GoNoodle is an interactive website that offers activity songs for different classrooms. The videos can be used as brain breaks, but it also has songs that could be use in cross-curricular settings (English, history, etc).

This website is very helpful when teaching students to play guitar chords. Students are able to search for the song they would like to play and see what chords are needed to play. When the mouse moves over the chords, a chart pops up to show the student how to play the chord.

Website with resources, videos, and games for kids to learn about classical music. Includes a create your own Hansel and Gretel opera game, interactive lessons with Brahms and chamber music, a student focused podcast on broadcasting, and more. Also includes a resource for teachers explaining their lessons and offerings. Made available by KUSC radio.

Band Directors Talk Shop is a great online resource that works towards having music educators collaborate on ideas and share resources that others may find helpful in their own classes. Teachers can share links to teaching materials or exchange tips and ideas on methods that they have used in their classes and found to be effective.

For teachers looking to make use of listening examples in their classes, Classical Archives offers a substantial database of recordings and listening examples. Users can filter examples based on genres, periods or by individual composers and have access to both live recording and even MIDI recreations of famous pieces of classical and more contemporary music.

The purpose of this website it to support and test students' music theory learning. This resource is very useful for testing a range of music theory skills such as identify notes, chords, and scales. The site also had tests that support ear training, piano skills guitar skill. The tests are customizable on the website and allow an educator to choose the level of difficulty, range being tested, and how the notes will be identified (letters, solfege, etc). The resources on this website can be used with beginning or advanced theory students.

The purpose of this website is to provide a young music student with resources to support music learning. The learning focuses mostly on recorder, pitch identification, and aural identification. Also, there are videos that are available for students to sing along. Overall the site is a kid-friendly that is easy to navigate. The website would be a good resource for recorder skills, aural skills and pitch identification. Elementary or beginning student would benefit from using the site.

Midnight Music is designed to simply technology for music teachers. The YouTube channel provides tips, tutorials and lessons and advice. With new videos posted each week there is an abundance of information available to any music teachers. This site could be useful with navigating which software to use for certain projects or discovering what technologies are available. The channel's owner is not based in Australia and may make some references to grade level that are not familiar to teachers in other countries.
