From the Top is an NPR program that features kids who have achieved an extremely high level of performance. There are many videos of student performances. It could be great for students to see kids their age performing advanced music.

From the Top is the video series that highlights young performers. This website houses the more recent streaming videos, sharing the performers' stories and their performances on the stage. These videos are great resources for the classroom as they highlight young performers on all instruments and a variety of genres. Musictheory.net is a great resource for students to learn about music theory and explore learning more on their own. The lessons and exercises are well-crafted and of great quality. The recent addition of apps for lessons and exercises provides a great low-cost option for students to continue learning on their own, but also allows for classrooms to be equipped with the apps for low costs, assuming that iPads are available.

Mr. Dickson's website has great resources for band warm-ups and fundamentals, as well as "fun songs" for band. Each resources is divided by instrument for ease and convenience. Mr. Dickson also has a tuning app advertised on the site available for download.

This website has great warmups to do with your Elementary and 6th grade bands. I use these daily with my group and it gets them focused very easily!

This is a web-based game for recorders. Students play recorder, and the sound initiates different actions in the game. It teaches breath control, rhythm, melody, fingerings, technique, and more. Students have a great time progressing through the different levels.

The content focuses on the schedule of events which shows the most recent upcoming material on specific teaching strategies/pedagogies and how to implement these in the classroom. This is a great way to practice reading music, ear training and knowing knowledge of different type of topics in music theory. This website and app has definitely made me a stronger musician through my undergraduate years. The purpose of this website is to provide practice of musical content, to help strength the mindset in many areas.

This area of the Midwest Clinic website features the clinics and accompanying handouts (if available) that were presented at every Midwest Clinic dating back to 2000. The purpose of this section of the website is to share the sessions and their materials for teachers to access. This is a great resource for teachers to experience the sessions, especially if they were unable to attend. The sessions cover concepts from all areas of music education focused on both band and orchestra. There are many unique concepts and approaches to teaching music available on this website.

Great source of band-relate comics strips. A great way to ease the tension of performance preparation. Comics have tags so searching for specific topics and/or instruments are easy.

This is mostly just a fun website. I would use this to get some fun band related pictures and sayings to put on the Smart Board as the students are walking in the class and getting ready for rehearsal. This could be a good website to add some extra fun to the music class.
